Midoriya's POV

"How about we go on the rollercoaster?" I suggested. Todoroki kun stiffened a little beside me.

"I...uh...I've never been on one."

"Oh that's okay,  we can go on it together!" I felt a sudden pang of pity for him. His childhood had been so baren, he hadn't even been on a rollercoaster in his life.

"Is that..?" He pointed at the rollercoaster above us. The tracks were painted a bright red, and were very high, with a few loops here and there.

"Yeah. Let's go."

After about thirty minutes, it was finally our turn. Todoroki kun and I got into the tram awkwardly. The seats were really small and close to each other, so my shoulders were right against Todoroki Kun's. It reminded me of the day when I had first met him.

"Please put on your seatbelts, and double check that you are locked in."

The auto-voice played, and I helped Todoroki kun get his seatbelt on correctly. (He was trying to put it on as if it were a car seatbelt.)

The person inside the tiny booth nearby gave us a thumbs up. Suddenly, we were climbing up the first hill. Heading towards the top.

I had never been that good with riding roller coasters, but I could only imagine how scary this must be for Todoroki kun. I grabbed his right hand, the one that was the closest to mine. It was ice cold. I glanced up at him to see that he was clenching his eyes shut, muttering something under his breath. I had never seen him this nervous before. He always seemed so cool and hard, so seeing this side of him felt intimate.

I wrapped my fingers around his, despite the cold. He opened his eyes, and I gave him a smile.

"I'll be right here."

He smiled, a little more relaxed. And then,

We were falling through the air.
