To my conservative father:
I am a woman. I am hormonal and a little bit crazy and that's okay. I am a woman. I have sex. I am not sorry that you do not approve because if I was a man, you would.
To my conservative father:
Guns are bad. They kill children. They are a weapon that criminals use to end lives and they are weapons that we do not need infiltrating our everyday lives.
To my conservative father:
Gender and sex are two different things. Gender is a socially constructed standard measuring how a person behaves.
To my conservative father:
Women should have control of their own bodies. They can have abortions or not. They can dress however they like. They should be able to choose what their body does and when.
To my conservative father:
Rape isn't the victims fault. The absence of yes is still a no, but the absence of no is not a yes. Boys and girls both get raped by all types of people.
To my conservative father:
Those "Mexicans" who you say are stealing our jobs are from Spain. Refugees and immigrants are okay. People cannot be illegal.
To my conservative father:
Times are changing.
You either get on board or get left behind.
