Stalking Sherlock (Mycroft)

You sat typing at your small desk. You were bored out of your mind. You had been stalking Sherlock Holmes for the last four hours at the request of your boss.

Mycroft Holmes, Sherlocks' older brother, had employed you a few months ago because 'you weren't a goldfish'. Whatever that meant.

You had just finished copying and pasting every single Twitter post related to Sherlock, when the door opened behind you. You looked behind you to see Mycroft coming out of his office.

"Good evening, sir," you greet politely, "Would you like me to email this document to you?"

"Is that the one about Sherlock?" He asks not even looking in your direction.

"Yes,"

"How long is it?" He looks aimlessly out the large window.

"Er, a hundred and, erm, fifty one pages, sir," you say sheepishly. He turns to look at you for the first time.

"You did that in four hours?" Mycroft asks, sounding surprised.

"Yes, I'm sorry, did you want more?" You start panicking. Your boss had said that he had very high hopes and was constantly making you strive to your best.

"No, no, it's just, no-one else who has worked for me has ever done that much work in such a short amount of time," he looks at you strangely. You look back at the computer and blush.

"Thank you, sir," you mutter, sending him the document. You both hear his computer ping in the other room. The silence is deafening.

"(Y/N), I don't usually do this, but I do believe that sentiment has got the best of me. So, would you join me for dinner tonight?" Mycroft looks at you expectantly.

"Mycroft Holmes, are you asking me out on a date?" You tease, secretly pleased.

"Is that what it's called?" You nod at his question, "Then yes, (Y/N) (L/N), I am,"

You grin, "Okay, let me just pop home to get ready, and then where shall I meet you?"

"I'll pick you up," he smiles. You log off the computer as he walks back into his office. You grab your stuff and make your way outside, grinning like an idiot.
