Chapter 19

Annika's POV

Is this man for real? I mean I told him to kiss me and he wanted to but now he doesn't. Well, I am not surprised as Shivaay is capable of doing such a thing.

"Why are you never sure of your feelings?" I asked exasperated.

He was looking me with sad yet confused eyes.

"What do you mean Annika?" he asked.

"Never mind." With that I shuffle my hair and take out a pin and try to unlock the handcuffs. I am done just done.

"Annika what are doing?" he asked.

"What do you think I am doing? Freeing you from me of course." I said trying to sound rude, but my voice was cracking.

With another click I unlocked the handcuffs and took them from my hand as well as his.

I was about to leave when he grabbed my arm.

"Enough!" he glared at me.

Seriously? I should be the one glaring but guess what he was the great arrogant Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

"Shivaay, look I am seriously tired. Okay? I mean you say you want me then after that you don't. I am not an object." I yelled. My pain was coming out as fury. I was trying my best to not cry but these god damn tears start falling.

"Annika you never let me finish my sentence." He said in a calm tone like a parent is trying to reason with a brat kid.

"Yes, I did Shivaay. You just said you shouldn't have kisse-

Before I could complete my sentence, he slammed his lips to mine with an urgency. I stood completely still but after a while I started to respond to his kiss. His lips were moving softly against mine. His arms moving to my back pulling me to his chest.

After a while we pulled back, catching our breath.

He placed his forehead on mine his hot breath fanning my face sending electric sparks down my spine.

"I said I wanted to, but I shouldn't before apologize to you. For the things I said, the way I behaved. I am sorry Annika. I really am."

I looked in his eyes and saw raw emotion of love. Love for me. It was making me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"When you left, I wanted to get you back but thought that I might hurt you again. I was scared Annika, scared of hurting you again. But now that I see that love in your eyes for me..." tears started to make their way down his face and I gently wiped his face.

He took my hand and placed it over his heart, "What I feel for you is beyond words. You are best person to enter my life Annika. Just the thought of a person like you loving a beast like me makes my heart swell with immense joy. Would you please give me another chance to be with the love of my life?" He said smiling and placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I don't know what to say?" I admitted embarrassed. I mean he literally was talking about his feelings for me for the first time. The cruel heartless Shivaay was talking about his love.

"A yes would be great you know." He looked hopefully in my eyes.

I knew that he changed and for me at that. And the look in his eyes told me that he will always love me no matter what and I trusted him. Again! I know but this time I could see sincerity in his eyes.

"Yes." With that I placed my lips on his.

Sealing the deal with a kiss. Literally.
