Chapter 5

Shivaay went to Om's room. He was busy with his sculpture and Rudra was reading his book. He felt terrible for leaving his brothers like that.

"Anyone hungry" asked Shivaay

Both of them looked at their brother who spoke to them after so long.

"What? Never seen me asking about food" Shivaay said and dragged out both of them to the kitchen.

"Shivaay you don't have to do this. It's fine" Om said

"No its not Om. I can't do this to you both. Just because Annika left me I don't have any right to leave you. Remember what we say 'all for one and one for all."

"This calls for and Obro moment" saying this Rudra jumped onto his brothers.

Three of them were in a tight hug when Om said, "guys the moment has passed, first it was emotional now its awkward."

All three of them laughed and cooked food. Dadi who was watching all this had tears in her eyes. "I know billu its not easy for you, but only like this you will be able to move on. Annika wherever you are I hope you always stay happy."

Next morning Shivaay woke up with a call.

"What?"

"Sir your meeting with Mr.Raghav is scheduled for tomorrow in Goa. So you have to leave this evening and you have four meetings today. So do I cancel or prepone those?" said his employee over the phone.

"No don't cancel them. Prepone them I'll be there in an hour."

Shivaay got up and looked at his phone and kissed it. It had Annika's wallpaper.

"I miss you Annika. I love you." A tear fell from his eyes.

The Malhotra's

Annika was sitting on her desk. She was crying when her phone rang.

"Hello" she said wiping her tears.

"Bhabhi"

"Rudra! How did you get my number? How are you? Does...?

"Relax Bhabhi. Calm down. I am fine and no Bhaiya doesn't know that I have your number. I just wanted to talk to you. I missed you. The wedding that you are arranging is of my friend's brother. He was showing me the engagement pictures and I saw you and asked for your number."

"How's Om and...." Her voice trailed of as her eyes were moist again.

"O is fine but I can't say same for Bhaiya. He is devastated. He really misses you. He tries to fake a smile in front of O and me but we have seen him crying in your room."

Annika was crying this whole time; she didn't know what to say. It was like Rudra was telling her state.

"I.... I know but its for the best."

"Bhabhi you should have told Bhaiya about Choti ma. I am sure he would have not let you go.

"Rudra I know that. But believe me Shivaay will never accept me as his wife. Never. Because a relationship stands on trust and respect. He mistrusted me once and he doesn't respect me because of his lineage ideology. When the pillars are broken how do you expect a relation to succeed. Anyways he will forget about me. He will find a nice girl who fulfills his thinking." Annika said.
