Bessy looked at Vicky cautiously and Joe stood close behind her as she stared at her mother. The last time she had seen her mom she had told Vicky she wanted nothing more to do with her, and after a long time, Vicky had made her peace with that. Even though her relationship with David had proven to be one of the biggest mistakes she had ever made, she was still angry at her parents for abandoning her so easily.
"What are you doing here?", she finally asked.
"I came to see my daughter. Is that a crime?", her mom replied sarcastically. Vicky couldn't help but roll her eyes. She hadn't changed at all.
"Well", Vicky said, clapping her hands together. "You've seen me. Bye now", she said. Her mom sighed as she dared to shuffled closer.
"I just – I wanted to see that you were okay", she told her.
"Really? You didn't care if I was okay when I was in Brooklyn", Vicky snapped.
"I told you it wasn't a good idea", her mom replied with a judgmental tone to her voice.
"Oh! There it is! The great, big I told you so!", Vicky laughed sarcastically. "Well, congratulations mom", she continued, thick hot tears rimming her eyes as she approached her mother. "Because you were right! It wasn't a good idea. And I got my ass kicked. Daily. Satisfied?", she asked as her angry tears began to stream freely down her face. Her mother didn't respond as her eyes met the floor, unable to look her daughter in the eye. Joe's hands suddenly met Vicky's shoulders before she shrugged him off. "I have to go", she said suddenly. Without another word, Vicky stormed past Joe and out of the house. She had no idea where she was going or why, but she just wanted to walk. And she kept walking for a solid half hour before she found herself stood outside of Q's apartment. She knew Bessy probably didn't call her mom, but she was angry that she had let her stay. That she had let her see her. She knocked on Q's door, her hands shaking with rage as she made sure she had wiped away all of her tears.
"Well, this is a surprise", Q said upon opening the door. Without a word, Vicky lunged at him, crashing her lips into his as he closed the door behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "It's good to see you too", he chuckled breathlessly between kisses.
"Don't talk", she said quickly as she bruised his lips with her own, opening her mouth so that he could gain access to massage her tongue with his. He had soon lifted her up, her legs wrapped firmly around his waist as he carried her to his bedroom, pleasuring her once again.
Vicky exhaled dramatically as rolled off of Q, catching her breath as she enjoyed feeling a lot calmer than she had previously.
"So", Q said breathlessly before turning on his side to face her. "What was all that about?", he asked. "Don't get me wrong! I could definitely get used to it", he smirked, "but, I can't help but feel like something may be wrong". Vicky sighed as she pushed her hair out of her face.
"It's nothing. Really", she lied. She knew that if she told him what had happened she would be giving herself the possibility of falling for him and acquiring feelings for Q was the last thing she needed right now.
"You sure?", he asked further. She found it cute that he seemed genuinely concerned for her, but Vicky decided to stick to her guns. Their relationship must remain completely physical. She nodded as she turned on her own side to face him.
"Listen; this is great. But, if we're gonna do this, it can't go any further", she told him.
"What do you mean?", he asked, furrowing his brow.
