Tyler:
I felt my blood rushing into my veins; my brain was dizzy. My head was in a rush, and my heart was pounding. I felt the sweat on my eyebrows as my chest unevenly puffed in and out with my shallow breaths.
I was starting to tick.
Everything was moving slowly like molasses. I was warm all over but still, I felt his blood run cold as I stared into his timid eyes. I can practically hear his shaking.
All my nerves were tingling with irritation. I can barely stand looking at him sometimes, it makes the ticks worse. My brain is on a non-stop timer , and somehow he manages to set it off every damn time.
tick.
tick.
tick.
tick.
And then, all at once, the dam broke.
Once again .
Another night with broken cries, and bruised faces.
Another night going to bed with the palm of my hand stinging, and knuckles busted.
All because of Joshua.
