I Got You (Book Three)

Epilogue

Armin awoke from his bed. "Did that happen?"

The blonde couldn't process anything at this point. What the hell just happened? He looked around his surroundings to find himself in a different place. Well, it was more like a hospital.

He heard a gasp next to him, "...Armin?" 

Mikasa.

Armin barely turned his to head to see his lifelong best friend holding his hand and tears falling down her cheeks. "Mikasa?"

"Armin," she cried even more, "You're awake."

"Yeah, did I... I faint in the woods?" he asked, purely confused at how emotional she was. It's like he died or something.

Mikasa also became confused, "Armin.. woods? What are you talking about?"

Then he heard a cry on the other side of the room. It was a baby?

"Sorry, Carla gets fussy when her dad isn't around. But, Armin? Do you know how long you've been in a coma?"

Okay, Armin couldn't even process what she just said. And a COMA? That wasn't true and plus, Carla just turned two like a few months ago, there's no way she could be a baby. Carla looks 6 months old. Nothing was making sense at this point.

"Mikasa. What do you mean a coma? I passed out in the woods after finding out about Annie. She died years ago! Remember?"

Just then someone opened the door, "Armin?"

The blonde could not believe it. There she was. His love. Breathing, alive, and crying. 

Annie knew it was her husband's voice. She ran over to his bed and kissed him before falling on his chest. "You're awake."

"Annie. You're alive." He could barely voice out. What was going on?

She looked up at him, "Well, thanks. I'm glad you are too? Mikasa is he okay? I mean 6 months in a coma can make you forget a lot."

Armin was shocked. It.. was all a dream... "How?"

Annie laughed and wiped her tears before touching his face lovingly, "You passed out in the delivery room while I gave birth to the twins and hit your head. The doctor said the loss of blood caused swelling and induced a coma." She stared down with more tears coming. "I'm so happy you're awake."

"I feel weak, confused, and very tired." He replied. "So, I just had the craziest dream."

His wife laid next to him, "You have all the time in the world to tell me and your kids."

Armin looked down to see the necklace and ring placed right where he left them. His kids and wife are apart of his life again and he didn't know what just took place while he was in the coma but god gave him this second chance not to let her leave him again. 

I'm never letting you go Annie Leonhardt, I got you...

A/N: Wow... We did it kids. We finished the clarity series and in case you were wondering where Armin went into a coma, it was the end of the second book. I was planning on letting her die but nahhhh. Okay! Thank you for the amazing 4 years!!!
