Fallen (Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 2

"Honey! Time to get up, It's the first day of schoo." My mom yells at my from across the house in attempt to wake me up.

Ugh. The first day of school is always a grag. Waking up at nearly 5am when the whole summer you've been sleeping in past noon. Then you have to somehow manage to crawl out of bed and face the day with a fake smile plastered on your face.

Sighing, I roll out of bed and manage to get dressed in just under 10 minutes and make  my way down the hall to the kitched to make breakfast.

I am all ready and out the door in top time of one hour 10 minutes and get on my bike and ride to school. Turning around the corner and looking up at my towering school, I think to myself, this is going to be hell.

My first few periods went better than I had expected. But the time that lunch and the last classes of the day came, I was taunted.

I dont even know why they would say all the things that they say. It is so hurtful and completely annoying that I just plug my earbuds in and listed to music the rest of the day. When I get home, my mom says the expected words, "How was your day sweetie?."

"Exactly as I expected it to be mom." I reply back with attittude not caring how I sound and the fact that I am going to get in trouble later as I storm off to my room and work on homework. Onve most of my work is done, I change and head out to the coffee shop that I work at.

"Hey, Lisa how's Conrad?" I ask my manager. She usually has the shift right before me and leaves early to go home and care for her 2 year old son. I have only met him once, but I will tell you, he is a firecracker.

"He's good, getting into a lot of trouble, but still a cutie." She tells me.

"That;s good," I say with a smile. "Hey I was wondering, could I maybe take next Tuesday off? I have this thing to go to and it ends pretty late."

"Yeah, thats fine as long as you tell me how it is." She says with a wink and heads out the door leaving me with an angry customer yelling at me that  teir order is wrong and they need their money back.

The thing about Lisa is that she is no nosey and wants inside everyones mind all the thime. SO of course I lied to her about next Tuesday. That day, I had planned a day that I could just drive to the beach and be alone for the whole day with no interuptions. I needed to start focusing on school work and figuring out my life and more of who I am going to want to become so I am just going to ditch school and see where this takes me.

Little did I know that this trip of mine could end me up in some deep trouble, not just with my mom, but with the state.
