One-Sided Love

At first sight I saw you as someone out of my reach

I tried to grasp your attention, but my attempts were too weak

Your beautiful gaze pierces like arrows through my heart.

Even though we aren't together I cannot even begin to fathom us apart.

Your face dipped in melanin.

Eyes that match the gates of heaven.

Your eyes leading to heart that is so generously giving.

Life without you has become a life not worth living.

Your voice so caring that it could tame a wild beast.

Words spoken so tender that not even angels neither the softest music could compete.

I've left you 'echoes and roses' to try and see

If one day you'll realise that maybe we were meant to be.

I'm ready to tell you of my true intentions.

But I'm scared of the fact that we might no longer be friends.

I've poured my heart out, dripping truth with every drop.

It has created a fountain of feelings with my love on top.

You agreed to my terms, but asked "In exchange."

For me to better myself. You wanted me to change!

I cut of all my friends for you. What more do you want from me?

My scars and imperfections have I tried to erase.

I rushed to your side to feel the  warmth of your embrace.

You don't seem to want to notice what I've done to show my love.

Must I change the moon and the stars from above.

I feel as if my passion isn't enough.

Your silence. So silent yet so loud.

That calm fountain of forever has started to rage.

My mind so full of unhappy thoughts that no clear thoughts can invade.

Why are you doing this? What were you thinking?

My voice  utters and begins to crack.

I've tried to make sentences that'll  get a response back.

I've done what you asked and done it to key.

I've made many sacrifices that you clearly cannot see!

Your words cut our bond, gosh those words of choice.
