Chapter 6

The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly after Mr.Ruiz's class except for one other mishap. I have a class with my mystery guy, where I found out his name is Luke. Of course it has to be English. At lease seeing him will make it a bit better because let's face it, he's really cute.

Earlier that day

I walked into the classroom still feeling a bit down about the detention. Believe it or not, I've never had a detention in my life. Yes I would get into little squabbles with people but it never escalated past past arguing. Too caught up in my thoughts, I didn't know that I was walking too close to someone.

They suddenly stopped causing me to bump right into their back and stumble. Before I could fall they caught my wrist, holding me upright. I opened my mouth to say something like "Watch where you're walking" or Be careful next time" but the words caught in my throat when I saw their face.

Standing before me was a Greek god. He had short blonde hair that curled at the ends, teddy bear brown eyes, and a perfect smile. He was probably around six feet.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. I didn't realize I had someone so close behind me." He said in the smoothest voice I had ever heard.

"No no it's okay. It's completely my fault. I wasn't paying attention and got a bit too close."

"You know, if you wanted to talk to me all you had to say was hi," he smirked.

I stood there with my mouth open not knowing what to say back. Here I thought he was going to be sweet, kind and charming. Nope, he turned out to be a jerk, suddenly he started to laugh.

"What's so funny?" I snapped at him.

"You're face," he retorted, "I was only kidding. I'm Elijah by the way."

I eyed the hand he was offering before shaking it and saying "I'm Claire."

"Pretty name for a pretty girl."

With that he winked and walked away. Shaking my head with a small smile on my face I went into English. I hated English. It was my best subject in school but I didn't like it very much.

Sure Mrs.Wallace was a nice teacher and made the class more enjoyable, but it still didn't make me like English anymore than I did the beginning of freshman year (two years ago).

I walking through the door and froze. There, sitting in the front row was the guy from last night. Letting out a breath I went to my usual seat towards the back. He's actually kind of cute I thought to myself. First Elijah, now guy who's name I don't know. What's next? William Levi is going to walk through the door?

I actually wouldn't mind that at all. He is one hot man. Those abs, his smile, his hair, jawbone. Pretty much his entire face and bo- I was pulled out of my thoughts when the bell rang.

"Hello class. We have a new student today. His name is Luke so everyone please give him a warm welcome," Mrs.Wallace said starting the class off, "We are going to continue with yesterday's lesson so please take out your notes from yesterday."

I got out my notes and sat waiting for the lesson to start. While taking notes I couldn't help but steal glances at Luke. Maybe I should go talk to him after class. I didn't get to really thank him properly after my yelling match with Bryan. I'm not sure though.. We don't know each other and I just get this powerful vibe from him. Maybe later I'll talk to him. Yea later sounds good.

Later came and went. And now here I am sitting on my bed doing homework. I despise homework. Yes I get mostly A's but homework takes too much of my life. I want a social life too! Just then my phone buzzed. It was a text message from Amanda, but it was off of her iPod. She almost never text me from there until I saw what the text said.

"Hey it's Luke."
