Chapter 2~ Betrayed

Claire's P.O.V

'Why Did This Happen To Me?' Claire thought to herself as she lay crying in her room. She had just found out that her boyfriend of 2 years has just cheated on her with one of her best friends. All she could think of was what just happend earlier in the day...

She was walking around her small hometown of Bluebell and was close to the local park. She thought she heard someone that sounded a lot like Ryan and decided to check if it was him. What she saw next was the worst thing imaginable.

Her eyes saw her boyfriend Ryan and now ex-bestfriend Scarlett about to kiss. They were on the swings holding hands and leaning in. As thier lips touched she started to feel the tears in her eyes threatening to spill over, stinging her eyes. She felt betrayed by both of them and and involuntary sob spilled from her mouth. They both turned and thier eyes grew wide with shock.

When they tried to talk to her she turned around and ran until she reached home. Her mother, Miranda, was home and heard the doors slam. Claire heard a knock at her door. Claire stood up and wiped her face discarding any trace of tears, but when she opened they door and saw her mom standing there with cookies and milk she burst into tears. "Oh honey," her mom said as she took her daughter and pulled her to the bed. Miranda put the plate and glass on the nightstand and lay her little girl's head into her lap.

They stayed like that for about an hour while Claire explained what she had seen and went on and on about how betrayed she felt because she trusted them both. What hurt the most was Ryan had promised that he would NEVER hurt her. She thought that she would be able to go through High School with him. Turns out that she was wrong.

"Oh sweetie. I think you need some time to yourself. Tell Ryan what you think and then maybe you should go to Louis' house for the night. I'm sure he will cheer you up", Miranda said to her daughter. Claire got up and wiped away the dry tears from her cheeks and look at her phone and saw she had 20 text messages, 10 missed calls, and 8 voicemails. She looked at her texts and they were all from Ryan asking her to call him and meet him at the park at 7.

After, she listened to the voicemails and they had the same message as the texts. The clock on her iPhone said 5:00. "I'm going to meet Ryan at the park. It's over between us. I saw all I needed to see and thats enough for me.." she said to her mom. Miranda stood up with the cookies and milk in her hands walking to the door. Then she turned around and said,"Make sure you call Louis and ask if you can come over. Oh and take a shower. Dont forget that I love you Claire. Always have always will."

After her mom left, Claire went to the bathroom and locked the door. Then she stripped out of her clothes and stepped into the hot water of the shower, giving her body an electric shock. When she was done she quickly picked out some faded skinny jeans, a white off the shoulder top with a black necklace and a pair of black toms.

'Ryan's going to regret ever letting me go' Claire though as she gave herself a quick look over in her mirror. She let her hair loose putting some products into it and some light eyeshadow. It was then that she remembered she never called Louis.

"I hope its not to late", Claire voiced her thoughts as she called her bestfriend hearing the ringing on the other line. She was just about to hang up when she heard the line pick up.

"Hello? Claire?" Louis answered and she sighed in relief.

"Hey! Is it ok if i stay over tonight? I need some comfort.."

"Ooo Gurl ! Of course! I have the ice cream and chick flicks here all ready to go!"

"Haha thanks Lou. I'll be over in an hour. Is that ok?"

"Yea! I'll be waiting! Toots!"

*click* the line went dead. 'Lou is too much. ' she thought, 'Now.. to meet Ryan'
