Cold, Scared, and Alone- I feel my blood leaving my body, creating a pool around me. It's warm and the color is so....pretty. The hunter, the man that shot me, comes over and picks up my body. At this point, I've already bled out. Now, still being attached to the vessel I once inhabited, I follow to see what is to become of me.

I'm not sure how but I can still feel everything that happens to my body. I can feel them pulling my feathers out one by one. Every excruciating feeling out them stripping me bare. The sight is even worse than the feeling. My feathers, still stained with my blood, fall to the floor. My bare body looks as if it has been punctured by hundreds of needles, over and over and over again. The wound were I was shot is plain as day, right in my side. The hunter takes me over to a hole. He sets my body in the hole and starts spraying me with water. It's cold. You can see all my blood running off my now bare body. The sight is unforgivable. They are dishonoring my death by defacing my once beautiful body.

After washing off all my blood, they laid me down. They pulled out a large knife. The cold blade grazing against my skin is enough to send a chill down anyone's back. They put the knife down, grabbed a marker, drew a line on my neck, grabbed the blade, raised it high, then....CHOP! My head falls of the table into a waste bin. The pain I felt was indescribable. It only got worse. The slit my stomach open then pulled out my organs piece by piece. They completely gutted me. The sight was awful. The sight of my blood and guts spilling out of my body brought tears to my eyes. My insides felt like they were on fire. The blood was sticky and warm. There was so much of it. I couldn't breath, all the air I had left my body. I was in utter shock. Once again they wash down my body till it looked like nothing more than an empty shell. I couldn't even tell it was my body anymore.

After all that, they stuffed me and threw my body into a oven. I watched my body set ablaze. I felt the heat upon my skin. Then they decorated my body with foods and sauces all to eat me in the end. The last thing I saw before moving on was my bare bones being tossed away like garbage. No respect, no thought, nothing. All because I am nothing more than a mere turkey.
