The Boyfriend and The Sudden Fancy

Ginny POV:

Just as he promised, first thing this morning, Theodore Nott was leaning against the wall outside the Gryffindor common room. "Good morning, Mi Amore!" He calls out to me once I walk out of the common room... I honestly wasn't expecting him to be waiting on me. "Teddy!" I exclaim, causing his cheeks to flush pink with embarrassment. "I can live with Theo, but, Teddy? Really?" He questions me as he moves to stand next to me, his arm casually sliding around my shoulders. "I like it!" I defend myself, watching with a smirk as he rolls his eyes, but, doesn't proceed to argue with me anymore. "So... My table of yours?" I ask him as we approach the great hall, noticing the smirk making its way onto his lips. "Mine." Ugh, boys and their competitions. I know the only reason he wants to sit at the Slytherin table is to show Blaise he won, but, I can't really say I blame him... Blaise has been a right prat lately and deserves anything coming his way. Theo pushes the doors to the hall open, and leads me to the middle of the Slytherin table, ignoring the sneers from the other members of his house, and the wide eyed looks from the members of mine. 

"Ah, Weasley! Glad to see Theodore didn't drag you back to our dorm, I'm Adrian by the way! Adrian Pucey."  The boy who had pulled open the curtain on Theo and I yesterday introduces himself to me, extending his hand for me to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Adrian." I politely say with a grin, taking his hand. "Who didn't Theo take back to our dor- Oh, Hello, Little Weasel." Goyle says as he and Crabbe take seats on each side of Adrian. "Why is she eating with us?" "Because, Vince, She's my Girlfriend." Theo says to Crabbe, who looks at Theo with wide eyes, half expecting him to burst into laughter. "You're serious?" Adrian asks more to me than Theo, to try and gather the truth from this mess. "I suppose I am his Girlfriend... I'm not one for a casual shag so it's best to put a label on it now instead of the school calling me a Slag." I inform the Slytherin boys around me, shocking every one of them but Theo. "Wow." I hear a very familiar voice sound from behind me. 

"Problem, Zabini?" I ask, not bothering to turn and face him as I take a bite from Theo's green apple. "Not at all, Weasley." He says, taking a seat next to me, pulling a girl with black hair into the seat next to him. "I take it all of you know Cho." is all he says to introduce the Ravenclaw. He's trying to get me jealous. "Love, Do you want to go flying before class?" I ask Theo, watching his eyes widen to the size of kunts. "He's afraid of flying, but, I'll take you." Adrian offers from across the table, already beginning to stand. "I need to work on my game anyway, get a quaffle and we can play a quick match,  we've got an hour."  I say as I stand up, pecking Theo on the cheek, and exiting the hall with Adrian. As the two of us walk to get our brooms, he begins to fill me in on the Slytherin seventh year boys dormitory drama. "Blaise and Theodore were at each others throats almost all night last night, over you I presume. It went on until Blaise and his stupid little gang had a meeting and all the boys left but Theo and I." 

"Wait, You're not in Zabini's gang?" The shock rings clear in my voice as I say this, I thought everyone in his dorm was in his gang. "No, and neither is Theo... Blaise asked us to join, but, I said no because I'm trying to keep my nose clean this year. After I graduate I've been offered a position with Puddlemere United, and I'm not going to jeopardize my future for some gang that will disband as soon as the year is over."  Adrian is a much better player than people give him credit for. "And, Theo?" I ask, hoping his excuse isn't something stupid. "You didn't hear this from me... Actually, you don't know this. Got it? Well, Theodore Nott has been Shadowing the Minister for quite some time, and, at the rate he's advancing with his apprenticeship, Theodore could be the Minister by the time he's twenty-two." I feel my breath catch in my throat, I could never imaging Theo shadowing the Minister, but, now that Adrian has explained it... It makes sense. Theodore always has been one for Power, but, not in the evil way. He just wants the world to know his name.
