Lies Part 2

The entire road trip takes a total of 6 hours and 55 minutes.Which means I'm stuck in a car with DeMarcus and his mom.DeMarcus and his mom don't have the best relationship ever since his dad left because his mom cheated, there relationship hasn't been the same.By the time we arrived in LA in was half past 1:00 in the morning, we checked into the hotel, then past out in our beds.DeMarcus and I woke up an hour earlier than his mom, so we decided to go downstairs and order some breakfast.By the time we get back with breakfast his mom was already up and waiting.We sat on our separate beds, ate breakfast, and watched The Maze Runner.When we all finished, we got dressed and headed out to explore Los Angeles.

We left the hotel, and got on one of those double decker tour buses.We saw the walk of fame, and actor/actresses houses.About half way through the tour DeMarcus's mom had called herself an uber and left.After the tour ended we headed to the Santa Monica Pier.As we were walking DeMarcus kept pointing at guys asking me if I think they are cute."What about the guy with the rose tattoo?"DeMarcus said as he pointed some more."Will you please stop that!"I said while jerking his arm down to the side.After awhile he gave up and started talking to girls.I on the other hand went to go find some burgers, and that's when I saw him.He was about my height, with dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and muscular but skinny at the same time.As I was staring at him while standing of to the side,DeMarcus finds me"DUDE!! I got us an invite to the biggest part of the summer!"He yelled in my ear.It took me a minute to understand what he just said."What party are you talking about?"I responded.He started going on and on about this girl he met, how she thought he was cute, and invited him to this party and told him to bring some friends."So are you in JJ?"DeMarcus asked.I nodded yes just to get him to stop talking, all I could focus on my mystery man, knowing that I would probably never see him again.

It was about 4:30pm when we started to head back to the hotel.On the way there DeMarcus told me that the party started at 8:30 and what the theme was.After hearing the theme we stopped at a store to buy appropriately themed clothes for the party.

It was 7:30 when we got back to the hotel, which ment we only had 30 minutes to get dressed, get an uber, and arrive at a beach house that's a good 40 minutes away.We got in the room, dressed, and back out the door in less than 10 minutes.Next step was to call an uber, it got here with 5 minutes to spare.I've already told myself we will arrive fashionably late, which is something you want to do apparently when going to a party, that honestly doesn't make sense to me.

We finally get there, and the first thing a see is that guy from the pier.As soon as I saw him my palms got all sweaty, my legs felt like jelly, and the worst part was DeMarcus noticed."You like him don't you!"He looked at me with a devil's smile."Don't worry I got this"."No please don't."It was to late, immediately ran off in mystery mans direction.Their conversation lasted 5 minutes, afterwards he rushed back in my direction."So what did you find out?"I asked."Well his name is Jayden, but he goes by Jay..."He went on and on about everything they talked about.I learned a lot, the only thing I heard was he is just visiting California, staying with his grandparents just for the summer, and when it was all over, he was going back to Florida.
