Part 2

Ethan's POV
When I get to class I walk up to the board because everyone is looking at it and I see that we have new assigned seats. I walk up and hear Emma mutter "shit" and then I see my name next to hers. "Well fuck that's not good" I think to myself. I didn't think that this was a good situation because I really like Emma, and not in a friend way. I already told Gray, but he is the only person that knows. And to be honest, I hate Meredith she's a total bitch and she is so clingy. I'm just with her because I thought dating other people would get my mind off of Emma. But no matter who I dated, I still wanted Emma. Then in the middle of my thought the teacher walked in and we all go to sit down. When the whole class sits down the teacher informs us that we will be doing a project with one other person. Me and Emma immediately look at each other and smile. "Want to be partners Em?" I say "Sure." She says back. Then Meredith comes up to me and Emma. "Hey baby, wanna be partners?" She says in a slutty tone. "Uhm, I'm already with Emma. Sorry." Then she gets all mad and walks away. I turn to see Emma texting someone. I looked at who she was texting and the top said "Adam😒". I know it's wired to eavesdrop but I was just curious. And I was wondering why Emma had a annoyed emoji after Adam. I started to read their conversation and read "Adam, I'm sorry that I'm not partners with you but it's not a big deal!" Emma texts. "Yes it is you whore! I'm your boyfriend! You. Are. Mine." Adam replies. "You know what Adam, IM DONE! DON'T CARE IF YOU THREATEN ME OR SAY YOUR GONNA HURT ME! YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT ENOUGH! I HAVE SCARS FROM YOU, FOR GODS SAKE YOU HIT ME AND FORCE ME TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU! THEN YOU BLACKMAIL ME SO I WONT SAY ANYTHING. WHAT KIND OF HUMAN DOES THAT TO SOMEONE.!" She responds. I was angry. Adam hurt Emma. He hit her. He forced her. I wanted to kill that son of a bitch. Then I looked at Emma and saw a tear roll down her cheek. "Em, are you ok?" I ask. "I'm fine." She lied. Then she got up and asked the teacher if she could use the restroom. And then she walked out of the classroom. Then Adam asks the same thing and walks out the door behind her. I look out the window and watch their conversation to see if anything happens. Then I see Adam push her against the lockers, then her holds her there by her neck and punches her in the face. I ran out of the classroom faster than I've ever ran before. The whole class looked up and watched what happened from there. I run up to Adam and before he could even speak I punched him in the face knocking him out. I go up to Emma and she is passed out too. Her throat is all red from Adam choking her and she already had a big bruise on her eye that's swelling. I picked up Emma carrying her bridal style and ran to the nurses office. I open the door and then one of our school nurses comes out and sees me. "Oh my god what happened!" She says worriedly and leads me into her office. I lay her down on one of the chairs in the room and explain. "Her boyfriend slammed her against the lockers, choked her, and then punched her knocking her out." Then I see the look on the nurses face change. She looked very sad. "Who would do that!" She says  disgusted. "Adam Colby" I reply. Then the nurse informs me that she is going to need to check up on Emma alone and call her parents. I didn't want to leave Emma but I had to. I walk over to her and kiss her forehead. Then I walk out into the office. "Mr.Dolan?" I hear. I turn around and see the principle " Yes Mr.Smith". I say "I'd like to have a word with you in my office." He says in an angry tone. I walk into his office and sit down. "Mr.Dolan, do you know why I asked to see you?!" He says raising his voice a little. "I don't have any idea." I say back. "Do you think its appropriate to punch a student in the face, and not think there are consequences for doing that!" He says very angry. "Adam punched a girl in the face and choked her! What was I supposed to do just sit there and let it happen! Hell no! Your crazy if you think that's what I would do!" And with that I walk out of his office not even caring. "YOUR SUSPENDED FOR A WEEK!" I hear him yell. I was so mad at this point. Then I saw Emma walk out of the nurses office. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" I snap back. "DO YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR SUSPENSION EVEN LONGER MR.DOLAN!" And with that I storm out of the office. Emma came running up behind me. "E! Are you ok! What happened?!" She says worried. "You don't remember?" I asked. "Not really, I just remember walking outside to go to the bathroom and then seeing Adam." She says. "Emma, Adam punched and choked you. He knocked you out. I saw it happen and I got so mad that I couldn't control myself and then I knocked out Adam too." I reply. I looked at Emma and she looked scared. "Emma, why didn't you tell me that Adam hurts you!" I say kind of pissed. She started to tear up and then says " I didn't say anything to protect myself, my family, and you! He threatened to hit my family and you! I'd never be able to live with myself if he ever hurt you. I was protecting you." She replied. "Emma, I had no idea I'm so sorry." I say. Then I hug her. She then starts to cry in my arms. I try to soothe her by stroking her back and hair while hugging her. We sit like that for about 10 minutes. I felt awful. How could I let this happen to the person I love. Then I thought about it. Love. I'm in love with my best friend, Emma Chamberlain.
