"Hey, Hydranous wait up!"
I looked behind to see Apollo.
"What's up man, long time, no see?"
I was confused. And not for the first time in my life. Apollo leaned closer
"Percy, your disappearing acts aren't very nice."
I jerked back. And blinked.
"I don't know what you’re talking about."
Apollo only smirked.
"Hydranous? Really I thought you'd pick something better."
"Well if you prefer Supreme leader of the universe to whom all beings bow down to, then you are welcome to use it. Personally I think it's a tad bit long." I smirked. Inside I berated myself for choosing something so obvious.
"Well?" He said looking at me expectantly. I looked on dumbfounded, before he came in to hug me. Naturally I stood there like an idiot.
"So, how's being supreme of the universe treating you?" He asked casually.
"No, wait a minute. How did you know it was me?"
"Well, everybody seems to forget, but I'm not just this amazing hot Olympian on the outside, but also a praised and revered god who gave glimpses of the future." And then I remembered, back all those years ago, back to when I was simply twelve and learning about the gods of Greece. And Apollo, the only god whose name and list of powers are almost as big as his ego.
"Well, have you gone around? Seen the universe, because last time I checked you would have visited Earth up on Earth a few times in the past couple of years." He stated. And for the second time, Percy was surprised at the surprising abundance of information that Apollo had.
"Well, you know just the first ever guy to create the mortal system and actually give the world the incredible equality it deserves." Apollo stood there impressed, my height, I noted, equal to his. And I was slouching.
"Well, then Commander Hydranous I guess I'd better leave you to your amazing and wonderful duty of keeping the maintenance of the universe." Apollo, dramatically bowing, stated.
"Oh, and Apollo." I called. "The moment you figured out my identity was also the moment you were put under oath to never reveal my identity. So I figured I should give you a heads up. We wouldn't want the carrier of the sun to burn up, would we? Oh and there is always the wrath of Zeus is there not?" I said, with my best puppy dog face. And trust me, it was good. Apollo turned to me, his expression that of which what you would find if you had flipped to disbelief.
I turned away, navigating myself through the glistening halls of Olympus. My memories travelled back. Back to the hall, where we celebrated the winter solstice. The throne room, where countless times I had been glared, threatened and praised. The fountain, where. Where I was threatened by Athena. Where I had my first experience as a fainting damsel in distress. Where I could not meet the eyes of the love of my life without seeing Tartarus, and the monsters which inhibited his realm. I closed my eyes, the back of my eyes stinging. Never have I ever cried since that day.
"Hey, you, Commander Who-cares!" Yelled a feminine voice.
I turned around, expecting another Olympian to be chasing after me." I am pretty good-looking if I do say so myself. However all I was met with was Ms I-should-have-been-a-daughter-of-Zeus. Her hair whipped against a breeze, and with that huge frowny face, she looked pretty mad.
Calmly, I watched her approach me. "You know, I've been meaning to ask, but did Hestia really break her oath." I asked.
"Of course not!" Kathryn exclaimed. I stared at her expectantly, and she blushed.
"Well, um, could you perhaps give me a ride to Camp." She asked, ever so timidly. I could have sworn that I could have laughed. Hades, I would of laughed had I not made an oath to myself,
"Well, than what are we waiting for?" I asked. And before she could answer, I took her hand and with the other hand, I blew a good old fashioned, New York cab whistle. Almost immeditely Blackjack came to me.
"Long time, no see Boss. Can we stop at the doughnut place down the street"
"NO."
"Please."
"No."
"Well than," I said, still holding her hand "Would you like a ride on this fair pagasus." Kathryn stared at me in reverie,
"Nobody has managed to call on Blackjack since Jackson."
Oh Hades, that means that I sort of blew my cover. But I thought that
"Blackjack, why have you not let anyone ride you."
" 'cos I only got one boss, boss and that's you" I don't think I'e ever felt so touched.
Meanwhile, Kathryn had climbed onto BlackJack. Only then did she notice that she was still holding my hand. SHe let go as if I had been set on fire. Which I have been. Long story.
I climbed on to Blackjack, and we left. Blackjack, however seemed to be far off from steady. Kathryn screamed and held my waist tighter.
"BLACKJACK! What in Hades are you doing!" I yelled
"Sorry Boss just a little rusty."
"Little?"
"Heh"
Blackjack continued with a lack of sense of direction, but it wasn't long untill we had reached camp.
"Bye Boss"
I said my goodbyes and Kathryn thanked BlackJack, much to his pleasure.
"So, here we are. Bye." I said, about to leave. I turned, my thoughts on the battle we would be waging when Kathryn reached out for my wrist.
"You, umm, might want to crash here, Olympus doesn't hold guests." She said timidly, her voice nothing like the fiery demigod I had pinned her to be.
"Well, if you insist, I guess I could accompany you to this place you refer to as camp." I said with a mocking air of formality.
She laughed, her purple black hair whipping behind her.
"Well, then, we are at the beach," she said and reached down and splashed me with water. The corners of my mouth lifted, and perhaps this was the closest I had come to smiling outside my close knit friends. Using my powers I dumped a rather large amount of water on her. Squealing she ran away, and closer to camp. Running absent-mindedly towards camp, I chased after her and straight in to a curly blonde haired daughter of Athena.
A.N. Yes okay, I'm really sorry. But guys in my defence, and yes I know this is my constant excuse, but school seems to hate me. And those who know me, well you know about a certain Engish project that wrecked most peoples lives. So this is a bit longer and It's 12:23 right now. AM. So, just wondering, how many Aussies out there? Oh and this is dedicated (Sorry if I get this wrong) Ancient Tide. Your right, this is rushed. I'm not gonna lie I ain't a proffesional writer in their late teens. I have a lot to learn, and this is all unedited.
