"Hello. I am Bang Sihyuk. Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for sending us love and well wishes, and to all of you who came all this way for this interview, thank you."

The reporters applaud softly.

"Secondly," Pd-nim continued. "I sincerely apologize for not actively informing Army regarding the recent crises that affected BTS and everyone associated with the case as the investigation was still ongoing at the time."

"In addition, I would like to address the hate some fans have been sending to  our virtual assistant who was one of the victims of the crime. We appreciate each and every single one of Army, and it pains me to say this as we would not be where we are without them today."

Murmurs were heard amongst the reporters. Pd-nim cleared his throat and pushed up his glasses before continuing his speech.

"I am aware that in every fandom there are as many toxic fans as there are non-toxic ones. But what I do wish to say, is that we as a company will no longer tolerate hate towards any of our staff members as well as the BTS members and other groups and artists under our label. As I've said before, we love and appreciate all Army and treat you all with the utmost love and respect, especially our artists and therefore wish that you would do the same in return. Please love all members in a group equally. Even if you do not like certain staff members or BTS members- for whatever reason that may be- I ask that you please be civilised and respectful about it, in other words, keep it to yourselves. I have no right to tell you what to post on the Internet, but I do have a right to do everything I can to protect my artists and thus declare that you do not post harmful content to or about them, their loved ones or staff members online. Legal action will be ensured against hate accounts as well as 사생's and their accounts."

The reporters nodded their heads in understanding, Dispatch furiously snapping pictures of Pd-nim, the man trying not to groan at the numerous flashlights.

"Being an idol is a job, a career if you may and it seems that many of us tend to forget that. They are humans, just like with feelings and rights. So why do some of you take that away from them?"

Silence.

"Why do some of you feel entitled to idols? Do they not deserve privacy and to feel safe? Do they not deserve love? They deserve it just as much as you do. Why send them hate or talk negatively about them, even attacking celebrities they like or are associated with, hm? Why do something unto others that you wouldn't like if done unto you?"

Silence.

"We would never do the same unto you, telling you how to live your lives, who to be friends with and who to date, and getting furious at your life choices. And this coming from their own fans," Pd-nim said in disbelief.

"But they still treasure you and go the extra mile just to see you smile even when you spat on them and trampled them on the ground. Please, let them live the lives they want to live. You don't know what they might be dealing with and what you do or say might be the last straw. As you know, the Kpop industry is tough. And we all have our struggles. So why are we mean to each other?"

Pd-nim took a breath and smiled.

"Life happens. And most of the time, we think about quitting, our artists and our staff. We feel unwell, physically and mentally just like you. But then we think about how you support us even in your toughest times, and that gives us the strength to push through no matter how difficult we find our lives to be. So with that being said, please try your best to be a better human and appreciate what we're able to do for you as we appreciate you as you are. We're not perfect, mistakes will be made for as long as we live, but we try our best to give you the best for it's what you deserve. We're truly grateful for you all. Let's work on ourselves, together. Thank you."

"Bang Sihyuk-씨! Bang Sihyuk-씨!" The reporters screamed after Pd-nim bowed and walked away.
