Chapter 11: the sex talk. Again. With new parents this time. Yup, still just as awkward.
My parents! My world was spinning. Deep inside I knew they weren't lying. That means Chris did find them... And they were here. But why did they leave? Why wasn't I good enough? Zander stood there, just as still as I did. The game was forgotten. Instead I stared at the people who had created me. I was about the same hight as my mother. I got my silky hair and round face from her. She was well dressed in a white sundress. Her eyes were a chocolate brown and her lips were puffy and pink. She was so beautiful. I could see clearly I was made from my father. We were both made as fighters. It's not something that can be explained. Only to say I looked like him. A MUCH more feminine version. But the eyes I could tell, they were the eyes of an alpha. And they could not be ignored.
I stood there dazed. It was Zander who broke the tension.
"I'm sorry what? Her birth parents died." He spoke.
I put a hand on his arm. They weren't dead. They were here. In front of me.
"Yes well, there has been a slight mixup in that matter." My father cleared his throat.
I turned and walked up the stairs. I could feel their eyes burning into the back of my skull. Nobody said anything. I rounded the top and stopped in front of Chris's room. Music seeped out from the other side. I knocked once and let myself in. Instantly I regretted it. My brothers laptop was open to a compromising scene of a school teacher and her student. On a desk. With no clothes. And a ruler. Chris sat there on his bed. Just watching. Like it was a normal movie. My jaw dropped and I made a strangled noise. Chris shot around noticing I was there.
"Fuck" he muttered. My eyes were still glued to his laptop. Quickly he shut it and moved the blanket over his lap. I felt nauseous. This was all too gross.
"Hey, Luna" Chris drew out his words.
"I um was uh just. They are here." I managed to stumble out. His eyes widened then shut. He pinched his nose.
"Okay, I will be down soon. I told you I wasn't lying." His cocky smirk was back
"Ya I'm sure you will be down soon." I rolled my eyes. I wonder why he couldn't come down now. Wonder why he needed a few minutes. I snickered to myself.
I made my way back down to the den. Tension was abundant in the air. My "parents" and Zander sat opposite the room from each other. Staring silently. So I cleared my throat and three pairs go eyes turned to me.
"I got Chris. He was busy," I drew out the word, still mortified and amused. " he should be down any minute though." I added quickly. My parents seemed to visibly relax. His much time had Chris spent with them to make them feel this confortable?
"So what are your names?" I questioned when I realized nothing was going to be said without Chris.
"You've met him?" My mother blatantly asked. Met who? She must have seen my confused look when she said.
"We will talk later. My name is Jocelyn. And this is my husband, Rupert."
Wow. Such, exotic names. My mother was obviously Irish by the lilt in her voice. And my father was Italian maybe.
"My name is Luna." I said.
Jocelyn smiled. "We know. We named you." Of course they did. I mean they could have forgotten. But it doesn't seem like something you could forget.
"This is my brother, Zander." He inclined his head in greeting while staring daggers at my birth parents. Again the room fell into silence. Luckily I heard Chris coming down the stairs. He rounded the corner wearing jeans and a grey t-shirt.
