"Call me." He kisses my cheek, flashes me a dimpled grin, and then saunters down the hall.

I'm trying to focus on his cute ass, but I can feel my neighbor staring at me. So I look over to find Johnny smirking at me, his eyes sparkling in a way that makes me blush.

"Last night went well, eh?"

Rolling my eyes, I pivot into my apartment. "Shut up, Johnny," I holler over my shoulder. I don't even bother shutting the door behind me — he'd come knocking eventually.

Johnny hops his way into my apartment. One of those big dogs that don't realize how big he is, the puppy. He bumps into my coffee table before plopping beside me on the couch.

I settle a pillow on my lap. Partly for the warmth, partly to cover up my exposed thighs — I'm wearing a man's shirt and booty shorts.

"My little Sola scored last night." Johnny pokes the pillow. And I'm worried his smile will split his face in two.

"Do you really have to put it like that?"

"I'm sorry. Not romantic enough?" He tilts his head, a puppy.

"I thought you were more romantic than 'scoring.'" I glance at the bouquet of dying flowers on a nearby table Johnny had given me "because it's a beautiful Tuesday."

His smile is a virus. "Guilty as charged. But anyway, how was it? Was Jaehyun a gentleman?"

My grin tips. "When? During, or after dinner?"

"If he was a gentleman after dinner, I'm going to have to have a chat with him."

I laugh, and my face burns at the memories replaying in my head. "He paid for our food and opened doors for me. So you don't have to worry. Jaehyun treated me well. I just wish he didn't have that nasty habit."

Johnny reaches over to ruffle my hair. His long arms make it seem like there's barely any distance between us. "Yeah, I've been trying to get him to break it.

"But he'd have better treated you well. You're my favorite princess, Sola, and you should be treated as such."

My face alights again, and I feel something inside me attempt to liquefy. "I'm no princess," I mumble.

"Right." Johnny adjusts on the couch, taking up as much space as possible. "My bad. You're a queen."

Now I know for certain my intestines are melting.

Dammit.
