IN SEARCH OF HER DREAMS

Introduction

Hello everyone! This story is in Ashlin's point of view. This is my first attempt of writing a story. So definitely there will be mistakes. If you happen to find some, please let me know personally. Hope you enjoy it.

Summer vacation is the best part of the year. Who doesn't love to go out with their parents and friends and have fun after all the final exams?
Tonight me and my family are going to a carnival. My sister is very eager for the rides in the carnival. But I just go there for the different and crazy food stalls. Yayy! The Cotton Candy, lemonade and the kiwi cone ice-cream.... Just thinking about food has me drooling. I quickly put on a black jeans and a white knit top and go to the living room where my mother and sister are waiting and my dad is already in the car.
We got in the car and and within a few minutes we arrived at the carnival. The site is just amazing with lots of lights and colourful decorations. The night breeze is cool and relaxing.
"Enough of dreaming Ash! Come on let's go! There is a huge crowd already!" my sister Ava shouts at me. Ava is 11 years old and is a very energetic girl, the polar opposite of me. She teases me and annoys me sometimes but, she loves me and seeks my help even to do a very simple task.
Mom and I walk inside while my dad and Ava went to get the tickets. While we were waiting, I saw someone staring at me from a distance. I couldn't see his face as he was far away and only his silhouette was all I could see and he was quite tall. "Mom look over there, someone has been staring at us for a long time". "Ash! There is no one! You should stop over thinking" my mom said. When I saw again, there was no one, just an empty space. Maybe I'm over thinking.
Just then, my dad and sister come back with the tickets. "Who is coming with me to the Bumper Cars?" "But dad, I want to go on a ride in the Ferris Wheel!" wailed my sister "We have time Ave! We can go ride everything." After going on a ride in almost everything possible, we eat the amazing carnival food.
By the time we got back home, it was almost 11:30. I was very tired. All I remember was going to my room and lying on my bed. Immediately, I'm off to sleep. And sleep means dream.

"Hey Ashlin, nice to meet you again" he says. I just stand there taking in his appearance, which amazes me every single time I look at him. He has light brown eyes and dark brown hair complimenting his light tanned skin tone. He has an oval face with a sharp chin and a thin strip of pale pink lips.
"Are you coming for the school trip next week? Hello Ash!" He waves in front of me. "Yes. Of course I'm in. What about you?" What am I even talking about. What trip? I'm totally confused. "I'm in if you are coming. So, see you later today Ash!" He gives me a small hug before he leaves.
