Chapter Two
Alexis' POV
When we finally get to the party, jc and I decide to split up and go hangout with our friends for a while. So I text my friend Angela.
Me: hey are you here yet?
Angela: yeah meet me out front bb :)
Me:kk
As soon as I walk down the porch stairs Angela practically tackles me.
"ohmygosh how are you??!" She asks
" I'm pretty good actually." I say.
"That's great A, but before we talk about anything else, I wanted to warn you that my brother is here tonight and I .....
Before she could finish her sentence I tell her I have to go and make a B line for the kitchen where I last saw jc.
"We need to get out of here." I say panting trying to catch my breathe
"Why?" He asks
And as I lift my head to look into jc's eyes and give him the look I get when I'm in a panic. I see him, and instead of meeting Jc's eyes, my eyes make contact with the very brown eyes I used to spend nights thinking about, tossing and turning. Trying to forget.
I snap back into reality when I realize jc is shaking my arm asking if I'm ok.
I tell him yes and quickly head to the kitchen. Hoping he doesn't follow. And lay my head on the counter
"lexis, are you ok?"
I hear someone say. There are only three people who I allow to call me that and one of those people is Cameron. So, I so very slowly lift my head up off the counter hoping this is all a dream. And I know it's not when I feel the palm of his hand on the small of my back...
