Manuka plunged under and swam deeper and deeper. Fish swirled around her guiding her down, it was as if the while ocean was welcoming her. Finally she reached the cave, her chest felt like it would burst. Then the man in her dream came out "welcome" he said, Manuka printed to her chest. The man reached up his hands and the water around her fell away making a bubble around her. "Who are you?" Manuka said between gasps, "I am the true God" he said. Manuka's eyes widened "I knew eel man wasn't real!" "Not quite" the god said "he once lived but now he is dead" he said "he led you too this land knowing that it would be destroyed in 200 years". Manuka was amazed, ""so why have you brought me here?" She asked. "I am growing old" he said "I will soon die" "what?" Manuka said "but I have just found you!". "Don't fret" the god said "when I die you are to be the goddess". "But I'm just a human!" Manuka said "no Manuka you are my daughter" he said. "But what about my human parents?" She asked "I don't look like you either" she said. "Eel man stole you from me and your mother when you were a baby and made you look human then left you on the beach" he replied. Manuka gasped "so I'm adopted?" She said "they never told me!" Manuka raged. Her father's words replayed in her mind, if she was a god then she could make him pay. "Manuka?" Her father asked Manuka turned her attention back to him. "I will make you like me" he said then raised his hands, Manuka felt scales raise up her.  She felt strong and powerful, she was a goddess!. "Now for your name" her father said "you real name is wave" he said. "What happened to my mother?" Manuka asked "eel man killed her while she tried to stop him taking you" he said sadly "I have been alone for many years". Manuka felt sad for her father "you can breathe in the water now" her father said releasing the bubble "try and use your magic". Manuka feebely lifted her hands and nothing happened "put emotion into it" her father advised. Manuka tried again this time thinking about her father's words, she sent all the water out of the cave. Then she pulled it back in making it stand in the middle before releasing it. "That was very good" her father said "are you hungry?" "Yes!" Manuka said. So her and her father swam along the outside of the cave and picked shell fish. They tasted wonderful and Manuka went to play with the fish that excitedly darted around her. She swam back to the cave as darkness swamped the ocean and found her father asleep in a small passage on some seaweed. Manuka lay next to him and replayed today's events In her mind, was she really a goddess?.
