Claudia felt as if her eyelids were sowed shut as she tried to slowly open them. She found herself lying in a comfortably on a soft bed. At first she was only able to see a blur of colors and faces and hear voices until she came back to her senses.

Standing over her was a young teenaged girl who could not be much older than Claudia. She had long smooth black dreadlocks with streaks of violet that matched her hard, but kind eyes. It was obvious that this girl was bold and couragous.

Claudia opened her mouth to speak but only managed to croak. The girl's eyes seemed to widden with relief and excitement.

"Doc, she is awake!" The girl shouted,"I think she is awake!"

Claudia tried to sit up but the girl pushed her back down.

"You have to wait for me check on you first before you can leave, Claudia Moonstreak," Claudia turned her head to see a short old gray haired women with black wolf like eyes coming towards her. The old women carried a cup of green liquid.

"Here," The women (that seemed to be Doc) said, "Drink this."

Claudia looked suspiously at the liquid then drank it. She immediately felt energized and awake.

"W-where am I?" Claudia managed to ask

The teenaged girl and Doc shared a look.

"Nevermind that now," Doc said hastily,"I don't think you should be up, you need rest-,"

"No," Claudia firmly interrupted, suprising not only the Doc and the girl, but also herself, "Tell me where I am, and who you guys are,"

Claudia sat up, very alert, her eyes flickering from the girl to the old healer.

The teenager rolled her eyes as if she was annoyed with Claudia, "I am Snow Lightarrow, and this is-,"

"Docter Mellie Jackson," The Doc interrupted, "I am Dr. Mellie Jackson but everyone calls me Doc. And as you can see you are in my medicine room,"

Claudia looked around to see tables covered in different medicines. She also saw at least a dozen sick beds.

"And where exactly is that?" Claudia asked

"The League headquarters," Doc answered as she busily rushed around.

"More like the ground headquarters," Snow muttered to herself as she smirked.

        Doc shot her a look.

"Wait, so I am in the League headquarters?" Claudia said, slowly realizing what had happened.

Snow crossed her arms,"Yes you are. Don't you remember what happened?"

"You fainted, dear, at the Town Hall-," Doc was cut of by Claudia

".....And then I was sent here....." Claudia finished. There was a thick silence as Claudia took it all in. She had done it, she really had did it; she was a Leaguer.

"Anyway," Snow said excitedly, "we should really get going. We need to make our way to-,"

"Hold on! Wait a second, Snow," Doc interrupted, "You can not take her now. She still might not have enough energy,"

Snow glared, "Oh, come on! I am sure Claudia is fine. Besides, everyone is prombaly wanting to meet her. You know, this is not just exciting for her, considering we have not had new Leaguers since Tomahawk Augustus and myself!"

I am right here, Claudia thought, irritated.

Doc fumbled with her hands as she looked at Claudia nervously. As if she was very delicate.

"I guess you can go," Doc finally answered, " but you must have a little more medicine, here,"

Doc handed another cup of the liquid and Claudia gulped it down, then handed the dirty cup back to Dr. Mellie.

Claudia slipped out of the soft bed and clumsily tried to walk till she got her bearing, "So what now?"

"First, you need to change in to clothes, " Snow ordered as she handed Claudia a white bundle of clothes.

Claudia frowned as she looked down at her wrinkled dress, "But I have clothing-,"

"Not League attire," Snow interrupted, "These clothes will help you camiflauge when you are up in the sky. We Leaguers only wear black to camiflauge when we are on ground. Speaking of which I should need to change too. Anyway, just go put these on."

Snow shoved the clothes in to Claudia's hands and directed her to the bathroom.

The bathroom door automatically locked with a click as Claudia closed it. Claudia leaned against the door. The bathroom was bright with all kinds of colors; like a rainbow, it made you want to smile. But Claudia didn't feel like smiling now; she just wanted to make sure her family was alright.

Maybe, I should run back home, Claudia thought but she knew it was a bad idea because she did not even know where the League headquarters were located.

"You almost done in there?" Snow asked from the other side of the bathroom door, "we have to leave soon,"

"Um, yeah," Claudia lied, "Almost done."

Once she had changed in to the white combat boots, tailor shirt, sleek jeggings, and a combat tools belt full of various small weapons, she stepped back in to the medicine room.

The only person in there, was now Snow. Apperantely, she had changed too necause not only did she have on an identical outfit that matched Claudia's, but she also had a bow and arrows slung across her back.

        "Where is Doc?" Claudia asked

"She had to tell the Controler that you are awake," Snow said, "The Controler really wants to meet you. You know, since your the first new Leaguer we had in three years,"

"Three-," Claudia was interrupted by a loud dinging noice coming from Snow's combat toolbelt.

Snow pulled the small blue squared device out of her pocket and pressed it. A blue glow shone from the screen.

"We have to go now," Snow said urgently once she stuffed her device back in her toolbelt, "Captain Fieldmann wants to see you,"

        "Captian Fieldmann?"

"She is the leader of the Leaguers,"

        "What is was that-,"

"No time to ask questions right now," Snow said as she grabbed Claudia's arm and dragged her out of the medicine room and out in to the dim lightened hallway.

"Now," Snow ordered,"keep up with me, and we will make it,"

        "Make it where?" asked Claudia

Snow scowled softly and ignored Claudia as she set off down the hallway with her head held high, hair bouncing, eyes  a blaze with excitement and energy. Claudia fought to keep up with Snow's long strides as they made there way down long hallways.
