Merisiel is a 15 year old high elf, and after losing her family she becomes a street urchin, learning how to be swift and sly. Her class is rogue because of this.
Merisiel remembers nothing of the life before the streets, because of head trauma (she thinks.) Luckily Papa takes her in, treating her as his own daughter, although they're different races.
She steals anything she needs more than someone else, and helps those who help her.
*UPDATED BACKSTORY (SPOILER ALERT!!! IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP IN The High Elf (preferably chapter 20 and up) DO NOT CONTINUE PAST THIS POINT*
Merisiel is the daughter of Lord Siannodel, a very respected High Elf Lord. After a human who they thought were their friend learned about her tiara that enhanced her magical abilities (fire power) and had a charm that made it so the tiara always came back to her, he tried to kill her.
Merisiel's brother, Theren, overheard the human speaking of this, and used his own magical abilities (shapeshifting) to fool the human while Lord Siannodel hid the tiara. Outraged, the human retaliated, gathering other humans to attack the family. Unfortunately, Lady Siannodel was killed.
The human was able to capture Merisiel, and threatened her life for her father to erase her memory so she may bring him the tiara unknowingly. Lord Siannodel obeyed in order to save her, but not without a twist.
Lord Siannodel's POV
"Theren, are you alright boy?" I run over to him, looking over to where my Merisiel and that bastard, Trayus went.
"H-he took her, father!" Theren cries, tears flowing heavily. I pull him to me, holding his head comfortingly.
"I know, my boy, I know. I didn't take her memories for good. They'll come back to her at some point, I promise you that." I swear, lifting his chin so he looks at me.
"Where did they go?" He asks.
"I don't know. We have to go to the High Elf capital, now, son. I promise you, when you turn eighteen you can start looking for her. For now, King Liadon's knights will be looking for her the best they can, yeah?" I pat his back.
"Father, that's seven years! What if she isn't alive by then?" He demands.
"She will be. I've hidden the tiara well enough to know so." I assure. "Now, let's go to the capital, King Liadon will treat us well, and we'll have a proper burial for your mother." I use my magic to alter his thoughts, so he'll come with me, as that's best. I take a moment to look at my beautiful wife, her skin whiter than my hair. I allow a single tear to fall before picking up Theren and sprinting towards the capital, Prime.
