Same old, Same time, Same era. The world as they knew it has been in a state of perpetual decay and attack, Mavericks run rampant due to their naturally hostile nature, whilst the Hunters struggle by the hour to contain and control the spread of the Sigma Virus. Despite the advanced nature of the human race, reploids were far from exempt from the disasterous effects of a virus engineered specifically to turn all of the Reploidkind against its very human creators.
This entertained X in his mind, as he trundled through the thick jungle bushes and forestry of the deep. Now apart of the newly formed Maverick Predator unit, the task force comprised of the best S-Class Hunters the M.H Law Enforcement Regime could muster, it was soon clear that X's wishes for a pacifistic and tranquil world were far from realised.
"...Hey Zero."
"Mhm?"
"You ever get the feeling that we're constantly being watched by something?"
To that effect, Zero shrugs, "The sensor array network isn't picking up any C-Class Zavericks, might just be the dispatchers."
"The dispatchers? Why are they in the field?" X would bring up his own Heads-up Display, although true to Zero's words, nothing imminently threatening was headed their direction.
"....Relax, we can handle up to twelve at a time, you ain't going soft on me, are ya?" Zero chuckles, as the duo continue further in towards the depths of the jungle.
X was hesitant at the thought, but naturally, the feeling was indeed mutual, "Let's just investigate the report and get topside, I don't like the fact we have to be cut off from HQ when we're down here."
"....Zero?"
The silence is deathly, X's eyes widen, as he pivots on his leg towards where Zero's voice last was, to the apparent dismay of the hunter, all that was left of the voice was the Firefly-ZB. The bushes around X begin to rustle...
