A New Beginning

Chapter 14

I feel a kiss to my cheek. Then hear Reginas sexy voice. "Emma sweetheart, it's time to wake up now ". "Mmm. Five more minutes Gina". She places a kiss to my lips and says "You don't have five minutes Emma. Not if you want breakfast before you go home to get ready for work". "Maybe I'll call in sick". "Oh really Ms Swan. On your second day. And you think the Mayor would appreciate that?"  "Ya. I think she likes, me a lot". "Does she now?"   "Yup". She then gets off the bed and takes the blankets off me. "Get up Ms Swan. Breakfast is ready and you have work today and you better not show up in yesterday's clothes". "Fine". I sigh out and open my eyes and see Regina with a smirk on her face as she leaves the room. "Let's go Emma". I here her call from the stairs. I get up and put my clothes on from yesterday and go down to the kitchen. I walk in and see Henry in his high chair while Regina is fixing her coffee. "Have a seat dear". I walk over and sit next to Henry. "Good morning little man". I say and kiss his head. Regina walked over with our plates and a small plate for Henry. "Thank you babe. This looks great. I'm starving". She smiles and I dig in right away. I've got pancakes with an apple cinnamon syrup glaze on top with a little powdered sugar. "Gina this is amazing. Damn". "Thank you Emma. Would you like some coffee dear?"  "Do you have any orange juice?"  She nods and goes to get it for me. "Large glass dear?" "Yes please, and can I have some ice I like it to stay cold". She chuckles then hands me my juice. "So what are your plans for today?"  "Well my boss is expecting me at work by 9, so my first plan is to get to work on time". She laughs at that. "Then I have to fill out a report about Robin and get him processed before I can get him in front of a judge. Do you have any time today to meet up to file a report?"  "Emma, I'm not sure if I "  "Regina this has to happen. He is escalating and it's only going to get worse if you don't do anything. You need to do this and you need a restraining order against him. He's definitely going away for what I'm charging him with. Please Regina. There is only so much the law can do if you don't file charges. What's gonna happen next time? What if I'm not here Regina and its just you and Henry". I think she's getting a little agitated with the situation. "I can handle myself Emma". She says with a little attitude. "I'm not saying you can't, this guy is not all there Regina. You need to get this ball rolling, so when someone in law enforcement looks up his name there is a big flag on it".   "He's really not that bad of a guy".  Now it's my turn to raise my voice. "Are you serious right now? You saw him last night. If I hadn't called for back up who knows what would have happened". I get up from the table and pace the kitchen a bit. "Damn it Regina, you gotta think ahead. You have a child to worry about and he didn't seem to care about scarring Henry or you last night". That's when Henry noticed the mood change in the room and starts  to cry a bit. I can see Regina is pissed off now. She picks up a whimpering Henry and says "I think you should leave now Emma, you don't want to be late for work". "But Regina". "Goodbye Emma". She snaps back. Damn. "Thank you for breakfast". I say but she has her back to me as she comforts Henry. I feel miserable about the way we are leaving things, but I head home to get ready for work. Today is gonna be great. Yippee
