"Caleb!" Liam says. My eyes widen, my heart racing. "hey man," the cute guy, which I assume was Caleb, says. I look down on my drink, suddenly losing my appetite for coffee. "oh who's this?" Caleb says as he notices my ex best friend Rose.

"this is my girlfriend Rose." Liam says, looking at Rose the same way he used to look at me.

"why are you looking at me like that?" I ask Liam, chuckling slightly. He shrugs. "I don't know. Something about you is just... different." he says. I blush, walking to him. "what is it?" I ask.

He smirks at me. "everything. You're perfect. No one can replace you and no one in this world will replace you." was Liam's answer. Biting my lip, I sit next to him leaning my head onto his shoulder.

He's the one.

I was so stupid. I thought that he was "the one". How did I not see right through his lie? How could I be so stupid.

"no one can replace you and no one in this world will replace you."

And here I am, sitting alone in this cafe watching this boy introducing my "best friend" as his girlfriend. I roll my eyes, standing up and walking out of the small cafe.

Liam and Rose, of course, don't notice mew because they're sitting with they're back facing towards me however Cameron does notice me leaving and his eyes trail my every move.

Once I leave the cafe, the cold breeze of air hits my face and immediately I shiver.

Caleb's pov
The girl stands from her seat, stomping out of this cafe. What's up with her?

"Cam, anything wrong?" Liam asks. Rose's curious eyes scan me and I shake my head. Liam and Rose look behind them to see what Im looking at.

"what's up?" Liam asked. I shook my head. "nothing." I lie. "okay man, what are you thinking about?" Liam asks seriously. Shit he saw through my lie. "nothing." I lie again.

It's stupid. Suddenly wanting the need of some girl that you just saw's information.

"I've got to go." I get my phone, standing. "my sister's waiting at home."

Louise's pov
"yes Karen, I just went out with Rose. I'm fine." I explain to my foster dad. My biological parents recently passed last month and I was sent to a foster home.

When I came into their house, Manny and Karen, my foster parents were very warm and welcome to me. Aaliyah was also very nice and we hung out in her room for a bit. Shawn was busy in his room singing and he was a very beautiful singer.

Aaliyah told me that he was famous on an app Vine and she thought that I was a fan of him, but I didn't know him at all.

"okay, do you need me or Shawn to pick you up at the cafe?" Karen asks. I shake my head, even though I know she couldn't see me. "no, I'm fine on my own. Thanks though." I say. Karen and I then say our goodbyes and I end the call.

Only the sound of my footsteps is being heard and I sigh, thinking of how boring my life is. No boyfriend, no best friend, no real friends, no actual friends.

Suddenly the sound of walking behind me can be heard so I turn around abruptly, stopping in my steps. It was that cute guy in the cafe. "what?" he says rudely. Okay, big turn off. "are you following me?" I ask him, genuinely curious of why he is walking the same direction as me.

"no, why would I be following you?" he spat. I mean, I don't know, maybe because I'm Shawn Mendes' freaking sister.

"then why are you going the same direction as me?" I ask. He looks at me as if I was the dumbest girl on Earth. "because I live here." he answers. I sigh.

So this hot guy who happens to be rude lives in my neighbourhood. How lucky.

I roll my eyes, turning around and walking to my house. "hey, we haven't finished our conversation!" Caleb, who is clearly mad, shouts for me. Well now I know that he doesn't like people walking away before finishing a conversation with him.

I shall note that and do it more often.

A mischievous smile appears on my face but he couldn't see it since my back is turned to him. My middle finger points up and I continue walking into my house.

"I'm home!" I shout once I arrive and close the door behind me. "Louise!" Aaliyah skips to me, linking her arms with mine. "how was your day with Rose?" she asks, emphasising the last two words. Why though.

"great." I say over sarcastically. "okay. Mom! We're going to my room. Tell us when dinner's ready." Aaliyah says to Karen. Karen shouts back an "okay" and Aaliyah tugs my arm as she runs up the stairs.

"who was that?" she asks once she closes the door behind her. "who was who?" I ask genuinely curious. "that boy you were talking to right outside our house." Aaliyah says. My mouth forms an "o" shape. I roll my eyes,

"some really stupid guy I met in the cafe."
