Far away from the crowd of people, stood two summoners with their respective spirits in front of them. A wind spirit that appeared human donned in dark green cloak with a jade spear and a humanoid fire spirit with molten rock body and flaming head as its fire burnt in the air of the alley intensely. Kusanagi was mesmerized by such force.

"You alright?"

Kusanagi, who was still on the ground, turned to Leora on his left - a member of the Blue Rose guild, standing beside him in person.

"It was you," he looked at the whip in her hand, "You were there when the Fidgets tired to kill me in the Woodland."

She smiled, "I'm glad to see your shoulder is healed."

He totally forgot to mention his shoulder. Of course, he thanked her for that. Leora returned her gaze to Ash and his spirit. After a few seconds of a staredown, Ash commanded his spirit the first move. It blasted head-on. Maestro, the wind lancer, made a few spinning actions then dashed forward.

Such power.

The two collided aggressively. The force of the collision was too great that they could feel the breeze of the wind mix with the intensity of the burning sensation across the air. Leora was having trouble enduring the pressure. Kusanagi shielded her with his brown cloak.

"Maestro!" Leora Bring it somewhere else. We'll be burnt to death if this stays like this."

Maestro broke the clash and pierced its molten figure. He then lifted up in the air and brought it somewhere else. Judging from the direction of flight, they were probably going for the town plaza. The alley returned back to its normal temperature as the heat subsided.

Leora's legs were shaking about to drop but Kusanagi managed to hold her.

"Are you alright?" Kusanagi asked.

"The battle has been going on for too long. Need to finish this." she stood firm with both of her feet.

"Let me help you."

The looks on her face showed she didn't want him to get involve but considering the circumstances she kindly accepted his offer. Kusanagi unsheathed his katana and stood in his horse stance facing Ash. Leora folded her left sleeve exposing a magical bracelet and pointed forward in a gun shape manner. A black dot was pulsing on her index finger.

At this point, he will face Ash head-to-head while she provided cover as their strategy. Shocked by this sudden development, Ash knew he couldn't handle it alone while his spirit was fighting hers.

"Hey!" he turned to the masked man, "Are you going to help me or what?"

"You didn't get what I wanted. Therefore, this is none of my concern."

The two henchmen went back inside the carriage then smokes began to scatter from his feet. Smokes covered him and the carriage and by the time Ash ran to grab him, both the masked man and the carriage were gone. He punched the ground while cursing which was audible for them to hear.

Seconds later, he got back up and snapped his finger in frustration. He turned to face them. Ash knew he wasn't much of a threat so he focused his sight on Leora. Kusanagi quickly closed the gap between them.

His burning hot gloves held the blade from slicing him. He pulled the blade to the side and as he was about to strike, Leora shot black magical bullets which pushed him back. Kusanagi and Ash exchanged swings and blows while Leora helped wherever she can. Soon, he groveled on the ground in exhaustion.

"I will not have any of this!"

He clapped his hand together. Rings of fire began to circle around him vigorously. Kusanagi stepped back and looked at Leora. Her expression immediately changed. Her eyes widen, legs barely keeping herself upright.
