My eyes fluttered open. But immediately shut because wow that sun is bright. Squinting my eyes as I reopened them. I tried to lift my hand up to rub my eyes but it was heavy I looked down and saw Joesph sleeping with his head on my hand.
I tried to call his name. My throat burned. I ripped my hand away and patted his head.
He open his eyes and looked up at me. He blinked a few times and stared at me like he was taking time register his head. He jolted upwards.
He yelled, "Doctor she's awake!"
I looked around and saw I was in the hospital. The second thing I realized was that my mate was not in the room.
As much as I love my brother, Ashton is the one I wanted to see.
I ripped out whatever needles where in me. I swung my legs over the bed and got up. Joesph immediately stood up, and ran to my side as he tried to put me back in the bed. I pushed him away and attempted to walk through the door. As I walked out, doctors pushed me back in and sat me on the bed.
"I am Doctor Benjamin. but you can call me Charles. How are you feeling?" He asked.
Pointing to my throat the doctor called on the nurse and she handed me a pill and warm water. I quickly took the pill and drank the water. Clearing my through multiple times, I said, "Mate."
Charles and Joesph looked at each other. Joesph looked at me and Charles put his head down.
"What? What is it?" I said puzzled.
Joesph eyes got clouded; which meant he was mind-linking.
I shook my head and stood up. I walked out of the door. Then walked back in because I am wearing a hospital gown, and my butt is sticking out the back.
"Can I get some clothes."
Joesph nodded and handed me a bag of my clothes.
I went into the bathroom and change.
I know they won't let me out of the hospital on my own, so I need to find a way to sneak out. I peaked through a crack in the door to see Joesph packing up my things. The door was wide open and Charles was gone. This is my chance.
As quietly as I possibly could, I squeezed through the crack in the bathroom door and tip-toed to the other door. I was just about to go through when Joesph turned around.
He looked at me. I looked at him. He looked at me, looking at him. I blinked. He blinked.
I dashed through the door and down the hall. As I was turning the corner I saw Joesph storming towards me. I knew he was going to use his Lycan speed at any second now. I didn't wait for it. I took off running as fast as I could while still masking my sent. I darted out of the hospital and through the parking lot.
