Post Concert Romance

Chapter 4

Maven's POV:

it was the next day, and you tried to forget about Zion, but every time you remembered him, your heart would just drop. You go for a walk to get some air since you felt suffocated by your thoughts. you decided to listen to Frank Ocean and it just reminded you of when he picked you up. you decided that you didn't want to listen to any music and you just wanted to focus on taking a breather. after a couple of minutes, you get a text from an unknown number asking "hey is this Maven?" you text back "yes?" and the number texts "hey okay, this is Austin, from prettymuch and I need to talk to you about Zion". Zion was the last person you wanted to talk about, but you listened since you were curious about how Zion was. you text back "alright, what's up". He says "Look, Zion told me how the date went and it seemed like you were really confused and I wanted apologize on Zion's behalf. He doesn't really know how to ask a girl out and I saw that he didn't really ask you". you said "oh yea, I didn't even know it was a date and he got kind of mad at me for that" Austin texts back "yea, lol I apologize, he should've talked you to for at least maybe two weeks so that you guys would get to know each other before asking you out. but instead he just asked you out right away". you text back "its alright, but how is he?" Austin text "He was in a really bad mood yesterday, but today he seems a lot better today" you said "I'm glad, he told he had feelings for me but I still don't know how I feel about him". Austin said "oh yea, he couldn't stop talking about you on tour, lol got kind of annoying but it was cute". When you read this, you frowned and dropped your head while thinking of Zion. Austin texted "you're all he thinks about, just keep that in mind". You were glad you had someone to talk to who knew Zion well. You knew it would help on figuring out how you felt. "Hmu anytime you need someone to talk to about Zion and how you feel" when you read this you smiled because it made you happy that Austin was such an understanding person. You texted back "thanks" and then you put your phone away to continue your walk. when you got home you went back to editing pictures to try to get your mind off Zion. you ended up just thinking about him the whole time until it hit 6:00. you told yourself that you should start getting ready for your date with Ryan. as you started getting ready you kept asking yourself why you were doing this if you didn't even like him. Ryan eventually picked you up and when you got in the car he was playing 6ix9ine, your least favorite artist. you realized that Ryan and 6ix9ine had similar personalities, crazy and kind of annoying. you didn't hate his music, but you just preferred soft rhythm and blues more than aggressive music. when you got in, Ryan said"hey maven!!!" trying to speak over the loud music. you cover your ears and you say "hey!!! Can we turn the music off???" ryan gives a gesture with his hands saying that he can't hear you. you just rolled your eyes while he kept yelling to the lyrics. you decided to go on your phone and text Zion, just to see how he was doing. you texted "hey Zion, just checking in. I know we had a rough yesterday but I still wanna be friends with you, hmu". you continue to go on your phone until you guys arrived. when you got there you got a text message from Zion saying "hey, ik we had a bad day yesterday but I'm over that. just letting you know I'm all good :)". when you saw it, you were kind of upset he got over it so quickly. when you got to the theaters you couldn't believe your eyes. It was Zion, but he was on a date with a girl who you thought was much prettier than you. he was looking at the show times while the chick was on her phone. "oh my god" you said while covering your face. "whats up?" Ryan asked and you tried hiding by covering your eyes and said "someone I know Is here". Ryan looked around and saw who you were trying to hide from. being the clueless person he is, he asked "is it him" while pointing to him. you rolled your eyes and said "yes but I really don't-" before you finished your sentence Ryan called out "HEY YOU WITH THE DREADS!! YOUR FRIEND MAVEN IS HERE". right when he said that you grunt while covering your face. you looked up at Zion who turned back with his  resting bitch face to the irritating sound including his date. when he made eye contact with you you closed your eyes in embarrassment while he grinned at you and walked over to you. you showed your face in embarrassment and he looked at you trying to hold in his laugh since he knew you were embarrassed by Ryan. "maven, hey" he said after he was done laughing. you looked at him with an upset face and said "Hi" while giving him a fake grin. after Zion was able to contain himself, he asked "so what movie are you guys going to watch?". You didn't want to talk but Ryan answered "We're going to watch ven-" before Ryan finished his sentence, you cut him off in anger and said "did you really have to co-" "Shhhhh, someone's trying to talk, that's very rude of you" Zion said while making fun of you. you rolled your eyes and Ryan said "yea maven, that's rude" Ryan said in a serious voice thinking that Zion was serious. Ryan said "we're go to watch Venom" while Zion tries to not laugh. He says "No way so are we" Zion said in a voice trying to tease you. You looked at him with a shocked/pissed face and Ryan said "Oh Em GEEE For real??? niceeeee". you ask Ryan "yo can we please go?" Ryan said "Yuh, sure" when you guys leave, you see Zion giving you a look that was teasing you. when you guys take your seats, Zion and his date sat in the seats right in front of you guys and he looked back scrunching his nose, teasing you. This is gonna suck
