A/N this is set 7 months after the prologue.

The door to the lab creaked open and the woman walked in. She approached a computer next the chamber. In the chamber the dark mass had grown larger and now had a shape resembling a person. The woman stared at the computer typing. As she observed the computer she glanced at the shape in the chamber with a puzzled look on her face. She hovered her hand over a button next to her keyboard, conflicted feelings swirling through her mind. Hesitating a second more, she slowly pushed the button.
A loud rumbling resonated through the room; the chamber was slowly draining. As the liquid slowly fell it revealed a pale, thin young man who crumpled to the bottom of the tank as the liquid stopped supporting him. The woman went around to the back of the chamber and opened a door. She stepped into the chamber and watched the man as he lay still upon the floor.
As the woman realized he wasn't waking up she stepped out of the chamber and retrieved a syringe. She slid the syringe into his neck and emptied its contents. Pulling the syringe out and setting it aside, she waited again.
Soon the man showed signs of arousing, he groaned and blinked, slowly adjusting his eyes to the light. The woman stood perfectly still, like a statue, and waited for him to notice her. When the man noticed her he tried to stand but his legs refused to support his weight. He crumpled onto his knees and propped himself up with his arms.
"As I suspected," the woman gazed with a look of disappointment. "Can you talk?"
The man opened his mouth and let a breathy sigh before slowly shaking his head and looking down at the floor.
The woman scoffed.
"Stand up."
The man avoided her eyes as he again tried to stand, this time supporting himself with the walls of the chamber.
"Look at me," the woman demanded, her voice cold and emotionless.
The man lifted his eyes and gazed into hers.

"At least you can function, so not a complete failure. Also I have one rule, you better love me 'cause your just a clone."

The man let out another sigh and nodded as he cast his glance downwards once again.
