Caelum shouldn't be at the platform waiting for Aerglo among their people.

But he is.

He shifts his weight from side to side, waiting anxiously for xyr arrival.

He feels everyone's curious gazes on him, many whispering excitedly when they notice that their heir was born.  And, to his surprise, they even form a little protective shield.

He gives them a small shy smile and he swears they coo.

It's then, though, that the jet arrives with a gust of cooling air.

Caelum watches as the jet settles on the ground, small compared to the other crafts, but fancy and spacious inside.

Fit for a Royal and a handful of their Council.

And when the doors open, Caelum can't help but hurry up the steps.  He hugs Aerglo tightly, surprisimg his mate before those arms embrace him back.

"Missed you," Caelum mumbles.

"Barely a week and I missed you just as much if not more," Aerglo grins, "where's our little one?"

"Inside, sleeping," Caelum smiles.

Their little reunion stops short when Aerglo steps in front of him as the others step off the ship.  His eyes are drawn to the alien in chains being tugged off.

Crucis doesn't look up at the disapproving and hateful faces of the people xe betrayed.  Xyr head is down in shame, face colored red.  Xe knows xyr fate.

"We have reached the beginnings of peace," Aerglo states, eyes glaring into the back of Crucis' head, "a formal statement will be given tonight!"

The people can't help but rejoice.

The promise of peace is becoming a reality!  No more war, no more blood shed!

"The battle at the northern border?" Caelum asks softly.

"Ruler Thuban and I have sent messengers, they should arrive by tomorrow's sundown and we shall have our soldiers home by next week."

Caelum breathes in relief.  It was one of the more gruesome battles, one that Aerglo was tempted to step in.  He's glad that it'll be over now.

But that's when he catches sight of movement.

He frowns, "everyone is off the ship... right?"

Aerglo looks at the disappearing group of soldiers and council members pushing Crucis inside as people throw rotten food at the traitor.  Xe counts quickly and nods.

Then who was in the ship?

Caelum leaves the safety of Aerglo's arms and explores the surrounding area of the jet.  The platform is built into the one of the gardens.  Greenery and exotic flowers and foliage grow here.

And in a puddle of mud from last night's rain, covered by little leaves turning golden and red, he finds a little boy.

Cyan eyes wide as tears roll down chubby cheeks.

His little shoulders shudder with his wracking sobs and Caelum's heart clenches.

He approaches him cautiously, steps crunching on a few fallen twigs.

The sound draws the little boy's attention, but he only cries harder.

"Dada!" He cries inconsolibly.

"Oh," Caelum mumbles sadly, "are you lost?"

He gets no reply, just more tears.

Caelum is afraid to pick him up, but he finds it easy to do so.  The little boy immediately wraps his chubby arms around Caelum's neck as he holds him, flushed face buried into Caelum's sensitive chest.

Aerglo looks at them curiously, eyes straying to the strange boy in xyr mate's arms.

"He's lost," Caelum whispers.

Aerglo carefully reaches out with a warm hand and ruffles the little boy's soft baby hair.

The crying seems to stop and those blue tear filled eyes stare up at xem.

"It's alright, little one," Aerglo coos, "we'll find your family."

The little boy nods unsure and the crying stops.

"What's your name?" Caelum asks.

"Luc," he hiccups softly, "m' name 's Luca, but daddy call me Luc."

Caelum and Aerglo share a look as Luca rests his head on Caelum's shoulder.
