nounthe subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place
hello, and thank you for choosing to read this story!
here are some things you should know before reading this fic:
updates will be long, but not terribly frequent.
i don't write author notes at the end/beginning of chapters because i feel it ruins and disrupts the tone of the story. so, just know now that i love and appreciate all you lovely readers <3 i do reply to every single comment, also :)
i do not condone the type of toxic relationship portrayed in this book. it's unhealthy, and that may seem obvious to you, but please remember that the situation corbyn is in is a very real one that thousands of people are in right now. you may react like zach, but realise that there are things you don't see—tender moments that keep the relationship going and seem to make up for the harsh moments—and things you don't hear—tender words that don't match up with actions, but keep the relationship together—in every relationship.
i'm writing this book to spread awareness of that, so please, if you remember anything from this book....the next time you are in a situation similar to that of corbyn or zach, please remember this book.trigger warnings are not stated at the beginning of every chapter, but know that this is a triggering story. it includes topics such as abuse, self-harm, cheating, and anxiety. any trigger warnings that apply to the story will be added to the list above as the chapters in which they appear are published.
thank you for reading!
