Being different can go both ways. You can enjoy the happiness you cause people, but when you're killing someone who may look up to you, it hurts a lot everytime. Grim Reapers are dead males, they usually have someone who hurt them before they died. The reapers are only males because males usally have no heart when they were hurt before their death. I broke the theory of males only being aloud to be reapers. When I came about I was only six, I was all alone. The other reapers told me I was cursed, a man, and weird. I hated being a female, but then I was aloud to become a reaper. For the first five years I did good, even if I started as a six year old. To be brought back to life as a diffrent person you must reap the person who killed you. Most reapers don't get that opportunity to live another life.
The reaper's job can be hard and easy. A reaper has to meet their victim, when you met the person you'd reap, you have give them 30 days to finish their lives up. If the victim tells anyone about their upcoming death, then the reaper has to reap them as soon as they can. The only good part about the victims death for them, is their wish they get before they die. Yet once the job was you moved on, there was no mourning or wishing for their hope to come back alive. It was scary for a six year old female reaper to go on like this for the next 1,000,005 years. Every three months in reaper time is one month in human time.
Sunshine Reese, a five year old girl who lives in Washington. Her parents didn't know about her death, they knew she was ill but had high hopes she'd live. Sunshine was paralyzed from her waist down, she had all sorts of health problems. Yet her smile was so bright, so happy, even though she was very ill to the point some days she couldn't breathe for no reason. I took her, reapers choose who they reap.
I smiled once I walked into the portal, this was a new thing for me. I've never had a five year old that was very ill. It's sick to say but I was excited. I walked into her hospital room. She looked so peaceful she layed down with one of those child books that have interactive things in them. I walked over a stood above her, I took a deep breath before I went on with my lines. Sunshine looked up at me and smiled. Sunshine didn't even let me get out my usual lines before she spoke up. "Reapers, send people to their resting place. My parents said that my reaper would be different than the rest of the reapers." She looked back at me, with her big sun smile. "You must already know my name reaper but, what's your name?" No person wanted to know my name, because when you die and become a reaper you get a number, not a name. "I'm the reaper number 92034, I'm at your service for the next 30 days Sunshine Reese." She turned herself fully around. "No what's your birth name?" Sunshine smiled and patted the her bed next to her. "My birth name? Such a weird question to ask a reaper now isn't it? My birth name is Kara." Sunshine looked into my eyes, when she went to grab my face, but when she did she fell through me. "Sunshine, you can't touch a reaper, we are dead already, we are like a ghost who kills people." Sunshine looked annoyed as she held her hands up to my face as if she was holding me. "Kara, you have very pretty eyes, I really like them." I shook my head to clear it, yet Sunshine pulled her hands back to the bed. "Sunshine, as your reaper, I can give you a single wish before you die. What is your wish?" She smiled as I said this. "I want to be able become a person someone can look up to. I want to tell my story, make other people feel like their lives are so much better than mine." I stood up,then I walked in front of her bed. With a bow I spoke. "I, reaper number 92034, with the birth name of Kara approve of Sunshine Reese's wish to be able to tell her story and make others happy." I stood once more, Sunshine was looking up at me. "Kara, thank you for making my wish come true." Sunshine held her hands up to her heart and spoke, "Happiness doesn't depend on health or money, it depends on your smile and additude." When she ended her quotes I started mine. "Death is scary but it's more scary when you cause it, so make someone smile before their end." We both smiled and spoke at the same time. "Said someone who made me feel that way that person is called my mother."
Being a grim reaper for such a little girl but I'll never forget the first ever person I reaped, it was a little boy. His name was Kaden, he was eight years old, and he was such a happy little boy. He never got to exprience life because his parents never let him. He'd only been outside a few times beofre he died. His wish was the one wish that stayed with me this long. "Can I wish for my mother to finally be healthy?" The reason Kaden wasn't aloud to go around people and be outside because his mother was very sick and being others germs around her would kill her. And I granted his wish, his mom soon got better. But in return he took her sickness, at the time I thought it was dumb that he'd take her sickness so she can be happy. Now I think it's so cool and no longer dumb, Kaden wasn't selfish unlike everyone else.
