Chp. 19 Secrets in the Past

She woke up with the sun hitting her eyes. Her right arm was asleep. She tried to move her fingers to slowly wake it up without waking the person in her arms. Lenalee head was on her right shoulder and part of her chest. Lenalee arms were wrapped around her waist as their legs were intertwined. Kitsune looked at the window to see that it was somewhat early in the morning.

She slowly untangle herself from Lenalee and slowly got out of her bed. She made way towards her dresser and got out a pair of black pants and a black long sleeve shirt. She tuck her shirt in her pants before she buckled her belt together. She put on a pair of socks before putting her shoes on.

She walked towards her sword and grabs it with both of her hands. She stared down at it with sad eyes. She grab the belt that was attached to her sword and wrap it around her waist.

There's so much I still don't know...

She heard movement coming from her bed. She looked over to see Lenalee shifting. She took a step forward and stared at her sleeping face. She looked so peaceful. She lightly caress her left cheek with her right hand before quickly pulling her hand away and silently walk towards the door. She exit out of the room, without waking Lenalee up, and headed towards Komui's office. When she walked in she saw Bak and Komui talking seriously. When the door closed behind her they stopped talking and looked up at her. She walked up to the other side of his desk. She was about to speak but then the doors burst open.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry, were you in a middle of a conversation." The chief on North America said as she walked in towards the chair and sat down in it. Two crows were standing on each side of her. She looked over at Kitsune and looked at her up and down. "Good morning General...Artoria." She said with a smile on her face.

"It's General Stark to you." Kitsune growled.

"Oh I apologize." She replied back with that same damn smirk on her face.

Kitsune glared at her as she then started talking about what the north branch has been up to. She glared at the chief as Komui and Bak eyes were wide. Kitsune had heard enough from the lady and decided to walk out of the room. She glared at what was in front of her as she walk down the hall towards the training room. When she got there, Kanda and Bookman were sparing. She step forward so they were able to see her when she spoke.

"I'll take on the winner." She spoke loud enough to them to hear her which they did because they turn their heads to look at her.

She notice that Bookman had Kanda's hair tie in his hand. She smirked at Bookman. They both went back into focus and ran at each other. Everyone was cheering but soon Bookman ended it. She stepped forward towards them. Bookman got off of Kanda. Kanda stood up and started to walk away but she handed her sword to him before he passed her.

"Kick his ass for me." He said quietly so only she could hear.

"Of course." She said quietly.

Bookman and Kitsune stood in the middle of the area with everyone cheering and making bets around them. They both got into their stance and had a staring contest.

"Think you can take me down girl." Bookman said with a smirk on his face.

"We'll have to see." She before she shot forward and threw the first punch.

Bookman evaded the punch as Kitsune threw a kick at his lower legs. But he jumped over her legs. Kitsune quickly retracted her right leg back before quickly doing a side kick to his stomach while he was in mid air. Bookman blocked it but he was thrown back by the power she put into the kick. He slide across the floor on his feet but he was able to stop. Kitsune slowly brought her leg down. Usually she would've shot forward towards him and kept attacking but she decided not to because she really wasn't taking this spar seriously and she didn't felt like going all out. When Bookman recovers he went back into his stance and ran forward. He threw many punches and kicks at her but she either avoid or block the attacks. She wore a bore look on her face as she avoided his attacks. He threw a punch and she saw an opening which she took advantage of that and hit him in his right side with her right fists. He was sent flying back once again. She ran forward and grab the front of his shirt, while he was in mid air and brought him down to the ground. She pin him to the ground. A flash of her home suddenly appeared but it soon went away in matter of seconds.
