Chapter 9 - Dangers of the woods

Hana POV

After I dragged Jungkook into the woods when the sudden fog appeared, we were walking into an open area. "I think we lost them." I said still holding onto Jungkook's hand while I looked around the place. It was really quiet even for the woods, I remembered when we got lost on the school trip in the woods, and I noticed that the surrounding was really different from where Taehyung lived. "Where are we?" Jungkook said, what made me realize that I was still holding onto him, I quickly let go of him and felt my cheeks heating up so I looked down. "Are you alright Hana?" I heard Jungkook say before he lifted my head up so he could look properly at me; we were staring into each other's eyes for what seemed 2 minutes before we got distracted by a sound coming from behind us. "Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt." The voice said, I turned around to see that it was Baekhyun he was biting his lip and had some cuts on his face probably from the bushes he had to go through. I was embarrassed of what he might have seen of what he might have thought was going on. So I just kept quite giving him a small smile, Jungkook cleared his throat "Did you see the others by any chance?" he asked. Baekhyun seemed to be distracted for a little bit when he turned around, on his back was an unconscious Minho. "No I only had the change to grab Minho, you two are the first one I found after that." He said with an awkward smile before pulling Minho down. It must be really heavy for a guy like him. "What was that fog thing that appeared out of nowhere?" he then asked us. I was as confused as he was since I didn't know what it was either. "I guess it was one off Namjoon's creations. That guy really saved us there." Jungkook said checking on Minho. "Do you think he will wake up soon?" I asked looking at the unconscious Minho before me. It looks like he was sleeping peacefully but we don't know what was in the candies, maybe the poison is slowly killing him, we have to make sure what it is if not it could be really bad for Minho and Jimin. "We have to find Namjoon he will know what to do." Baekhyun said walking towards Minho to pick him up again but Jungkook had already done it. "I take Minho, he is kind of heavy for you." He said looking at Baekhyun who was offended by his statement but let it slip off. We made our way further into the woods, searching for the others, but couldn't find them. "Maybe they are heading back to the shelter?" Baekhyun said walking beside me; Jungkook was walking a few meters behind us, probably tired from caring Minho around. "I don't think so, that would be too dangerous since Victoria knows were the shelter is." I said to him what made him nod. Are the others even save there, maybe Victoria told Jisoo about it, what if the other get caught as well, we need to help them but how. A sudden noise brought me back from my thoughts, I saw Baekhyun turning around and running towards Jungkook, when I turned around I saw Jungkook lying on the ground. "Shit, sorry guys it's this stupid wooden plank." He said pointing at his left leg, the wooden plank that Jungkook used was broken what made him fall, why did he carry Minho in the first place he should have made one of us carry him. "Can you stand up?" Baekhyun asked taking Minho from his back and putting him on his own. Jungkook tried to get up but fell quickly on the ground again. I bit my lip before sitting before him. "Get up you can't walk like this." I said pointing at my back; Jungkook was shocked by my statement. "Come on Jungkook we have to move. We have no time to be stubborn about this.' I said because I saw that he was thinking too much about it. I rolled my eyes before pulling his arms around my neck. Before holding onto his legs and standing up. I was not used on carrying a weight like Jungkook but I needed to get through it since we didn't have another choice at the moment.

After walking for another hour we decided to rest a little, I put Jungkook down and walked towards Minho who was being checked on by Baekhyun. "He still hasn't woken up; his breathing is still stable like before." He said to us, before I heard a growling sound coming from Baekhyun's way. "What was that?" Jungkook asked looking our way. "Sorry that was my stomach, I haven't eaten anything in 2 days." Baekhyun said embarrassed. "We need to find something to eat if we want to move on, if not we won't make it." I said walking towards Jungkook who was busy trying to fix the wooden plank. "You know you can't fix it that easily." I said sitting beside him. I heard a sigh coming from him "I hate to bother the others, just let me try." He said moving the wooden plank in its original position but when he tried to move it again it broke. "Damn it!" he said throwing the plank that landed on Baekhyun's head. "Auw... What did I do to you to deserve this?" he said turning his face that showed an angry expression, Jungkook returned it with an awkward smile. "Sorry about that. I wasn't aiming at you I swear." He said but Baekhyun just glared at him. "Hey, I'm going to look for food. You two stay here okay?" I said before standing back up. "No way, you're going alone in the woods. You know how dangerous that is?" Baekhyun said before standing up. "Yeah it's more dangerous to leave these two alone, what if someone attacks they can't run, so you stay here, I'll be back in a few minutes." I said before walking away from them into the woods. Okay so where can I find food?

Jungkook POV

It had been more than 30 minutes and Hana still wasn't back. "Hey do you want me to look for here?" Baekhyun asked when he noticed me trying to standing up. "Yeah please, move Minho closer so I can protect him if something happens." I asked him before he moved Minho next to me. "Jungkook don't do stupid things okay?" Baekhyun said before heading into the woods. Me stupid things, who does he think he is my mother. I have been taking care of myself for years, these woods are nothing. I hope that someone took Jimin since he was unconscious as well. I don't know what it is but Jimin always get himself in trouble. Maybe he is with Hoseok. Come on Baekhyun just bring her back already.

I closed my eyes for a minute when I heard a sudden noise coming out from the bushes, finally they are back. I opened my eyes and saw not who I expected to see, before me stood a black wolf. He looked hungry at Minho and me. Come on, can things get worse? Stupid wolf has the wrong person before him. I made a little flame into my hands before holding it before me; the wolf didn't even seem to be a little bit scarred. Why isn't it working? Then I just have to fight it "Bring it on." I said what caught the wolfs attention since it moved closer towards me, growling angry at me. When the wolf was only a few meters from me I threw the fire flame towards the wolf, but the wolf ditched it. Really how is that even possible? I made another flame but this time the wolf didn't hesitate to attack. He jumped towards me and I threw another flame towards him and this time it hit him, what made the wolf back up a little. Take that stupid animal. I was so caught up in my own little victory that I didn't notice another wolf coming from out of the bushes. Shit another one. I remembered what Baekhyun told me about not doing stupid things and now I knew what he meant, if I use too much of my flames the trees will burn in to flames. But I need to use them to get rid of these stupid wolves. I made another flame into my hand to get ready when the two wolves decided to attack on the same time. I can only hit one, I threw the flame at one of the wolfs but the other was still coming my way when a sudden growl was heard what made the wolf stop, the two wolves looked at the way the growl came from before they backed off a little more, out of the bush on the left came a big bear, just great if these wolves weren't enough already. I'm screwed for sure now. I looked at how the bear was moving closer towards me still growling. I made another flame in my hand even though I knew that I wouldn't win from this one. The bear stopped with growling and I must be crazy but it looked like the bear just winked at me before he turned around and began to attack the wolves, which seemed to be scarred from the huge bear before them. After being attacked the wolves fled into the woods. I heard a sudden laugh coming from the bear before I saw that the bear was gone there was now standing a shadow in the place where the bear stood, the shadow turned around and it must have been the first time I was glad to see who it was. "Taehyung, thank god it's you." I said with a small smile. Taehyung walked towards me looking concerned. "Hyung what happened to you, where are the others are you alone here?" he asked me not even noticing Minho lying there. "No I'm not alone Hana and Baekhyun are with me but they are looking for food. Oh and Minho" I said pointing at the guy next to me. I forgot that Taehyung had lived in the woods for years, so it must be a lot easier for him to fit in. "Is he still asleep." He asked me looking suspicious at Minho. What was he thinking? "Hey Tae can you catch Hana's scent?" I asked him since he did something like this before. "I probably can. Let me try." He said before turning into his bear form again. "They are close maybe 1 mile away from here." he said once he returned back to human. If they are so close what is keeping them up?
