Chapter 3: Beach day?

(Melissa's POV)

Om nom nom

Jeez my pancakes are good!

I shoved the last of my pancakes in my mouth, dropping my forks on my plate. I watched as everyone else in my family, well besides Lucinda, eat theirs to. Pancakes has always been a favorite in my family. Something dad passed on to Aaron and I.

"Anyone want anymore?" I stood up,  walking over to the kitchen. I looked back and saw everybody shaking their head, and I sighed on relief. Usually I had to make a bunch, but not today! Woohoo!

"Mmm, Melissa, it's like your pancakes get better everytime you make them!" My dad lighty punched my arm, smiling.

"So your saying that they weren't good before?"

"No, I meant--"

"That's totally what you meant!" I giggked and walked away. Man, my family is the best.

"So, Aaron, how was last night?" I lifted my eyebrows at him,  smirking.

"Melissa!!!!!" Aaron sighed, putting his hand to his face, but then looking back at me, "Seriously though, it was the best sleep I've had in a while. I managed to hold Aph's hand while she slept. And she was on the edge of the bed. "

"Wait, where did you sleep then?"

"On the floor. ONLY because it felt better." He gave me that don't-you-dare-judge-me-look.

Sigh. "Fine. I'm not judging.... Just shipping!" I squeel and backed away, knocking into someone. I turned around quickly and apologized. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean--"

"Oh, it's fine." She person laughed.

"Lucinda? Irene, we keep knocking into each other!" I giggled.

"Heh, yeah... Well I'm going to my room" She turned to go buuuuut I stopped her.

"Wait, can you actually wake everyone else up? There's something important that's going to happen later."

"Uhh sure! I'll be back!" Lucinda walked off to the bedrooms.

"So, what's this 'important thing' that's happening later?" Aaron appeared behind me, poking me.

"We're going to the beach!" I exclaimed, running off to my room. Gotta get ready!

(Lucinda's POV)

I stood in my room, looking through my closet. I finished waking everyone up, well, I guess I should say almost everyone. Aaron woke Aphmau up,  but that's understandable. I picked up an orange bikini and a red one. I can't decide between the two.

"Having trouble?" Someone peeled into my room, and I jumped. I looked at them and realized it was Melissa.

"Everyone is waiting, ya know." She gave me a side glance as she looked around my room, "Why are you even picking out a bathing suit?"

"Because we're going to the beach, right?" I looked back at my difficult decision.

"How'd you know??"

"It was quite obvious. And sorry for taking so long. It's difficult to choose between these." I showed them to her.

"Hmmm... " She examined them, "If it was me choosing, I would were the orange one. Plus that one matches your hair"

"Thanks for the thought. You should probably tell everyone to get ready now."

"Oh! Right! Thanks!!!" Melissa scrambled back out the door,  her tail swishing. I turned back to the mirror and put on the orange one. She was right, it looks like my hair. I put the other one away and went downstairs. The room was empty. All I saw was Melissa and Aphmau quietly chatting by the corner. I walked toward them.

"Lucinda! There you are  you take for ages! Aphmau hugged my and I hugged back.

"Where's everyone else?" I backed away now,  looking once more around the room.

"Their already at the beach. We stayed and waited for you, " Melissa started walking towards the door, "C'mon, we don't got all day!"

I smiled and followed her, and Aphmau started talking about how last night had been.

We finally arrived at the private beach that the house owned. Majority of the girls were either talking on groups or sitting on benches. The guys were playing volleyball.

"Oh my Irene, Zane~Kun is playing volleyball?!" We heard Kawaii~Chan gasp and run over to them, dragging Aphmau's attention. She ran over with her to.

"Well,  that's unexpected." Melissa stared after her, then turning to me. She had a playful grin on her face. 

Uh oh, she's planning something...

She poked me, "Your it!" She gighled and ran away. I was startled for a minute, then tan after her. She ran into the water, so it got harder.

"This is not-" Huff "-fair!" I spoke as I breathed heavily but then I tackled her.

"Haha! Gotcha!" I smiled, poking her arm. She then blushed. Then I noticed that I was laying on top of her. I blushed to, quickly getting off.

"S-sorry" I was flustered. I never got flustered like this.

"It's fine... uhm I think we got caught.." She pointed to the beach shore,  where everyone was staring at us.

Everyone

We stared at them, they stared at us, and then they cracked up.  I started walking back, Melissa following me. O noticed Kawaii~Chan being held back by Aphmau and Kim. She looked.... excited? They let her go.

"KAWAII~CHAN DID NOT JUST SEE LUCINDA~CHAN AND MELISSA~CHAN ON TOP OF EACH OTHER!!!!!  I SHIP IT!!!!!"

I backed away, blushing madly. Melissa then spoke, "Kawaii~Chan, it w-was an a-accident!" She was blushing to.

I sighed. "Just ignore her, she'll forget about it. It's something she does." I gave Kawaii~Chan a death glance and walked away to a beach chair. Sitting down on it, I put my sunglasses on.

"Oof. Hopefully that won't happen again." I got myself in a comfortable position.

It was still fun though. But it's relaxation time. Today is a good day.
