Keep It Quiet

Alex POV: I hear sub yell Ethan and I look up and see that Ethan, is in fact, In front of us. "What are you doing here!" I whisper yell at him. He sighs and pulls down his hood. "You got me" He says. "This was supposed to be secret so you all wouldn't have to worry"

  "Why would we have to worry?"

 "I'm not explaining this all to you guys in a Starbucks. Follow me." Ethan says and gets out of line. Well.. I guess no coffee today for us. He leads us out the door and takes us to a sidewalk going past a bunch of stores and restaurants. Macy's, McDonalds, Kohls, Target, even a Build A Bear. Ethan slows down his speed walk to more of a stroll and starts speaking.

          "The phone call I got.." he starts. "It was from Twitch. I had to go around the world for items she needed to make sure her devilish sister's reverse spell wouldn't reverse what has happened in the last 5 years." He explains. "What kinds of items?" I ask as we keep walking down the sidewalk. "Different items. Out of the ordinary items." He says as he looks down and puts his hands in the back pockets of his jeans. "And what do you mean reverse the last 5 years?" Sub asks as he takes my hand that's not in my coat pocket. I squeeze his hand as Ethan starts to talk again.

     "If I don't bring these items back to her in a week we might not be able to protect anyone from the reverse spell. That means people's personalities would change, their job, their families, even their relationships" he says. When he says the last word he doesn't look us In the eye. "W-why... why did her sister do this?" I stutter as I pull sub and hold him. "We don't know" Is all he answers. "And those futures you saw, if we don't get these items, might be totally different from what you saw inside those portals" he adds. Now his head is lower than all the rest of his explanation time. And he had a baby in his future......

       I look at sub and we both pat his back. "Is there any way we can help?" I ask. "I'm afraid not. This is a Hon's style mission." He says. "Solo."

 "And please don't tell anyone what I just told you" He says as he look back at us. "What? So we can't tell the rest of the guys? Or even your girl friend?" I ask.

  "You heard me. Keep it quiet."

          "Can you tell us what you needed to get in New York?" Sub asks. "I had to get a special flower" Is all he replies. "Where will you be headed next?" I ask right before another New Yorker bumps my arm on the other side of the sidewalk and keeps walking. Sub pulls me over before any other people run into us and squeezes my sides from behind. "London. Its my last stop." He says as he leans against a stop sign. "I could help you find things there" I say. "Well your not going" He says. I roll my eyes and scoff. "But he'd be better then you would be in London. He was born there" Sub says sassily. "I'm sure he would be, but I told you. This is a solo mission." He says. Looking annoyed now.

 "Fine."

 

       "So... when are you going to London?" I ask as we start walking back towards Starbucks. We finally realized we all need coffee. "Today." he answers. "By car?" Sub asks. Followed by a cough. "No, I have my own ways of getting around for these little tasks" He says and automatically disappears.

 Me and sub both look at each other with out jaws all the way down. "did he just...." I start to say. "Vanish to London?" Sub finishes. I nod as we start walking down the sidewalk again. "I don't want my relationship to change" Sub says as his eyes start filling with tears. "Me either subby. I'm sure Ethan will find whatever he needs and fix all this" I say as I pull him into my chest. He wraps his arms around my waist and I feel my shirt start to get wet. I pull his chin up and wipe his tears with my thumb. "It'll be okay." I say as I kiss him. "I hope so..." He says as he kisses back. He clears his throat and adds, "We're still telling the guy about this right?"

 "Uhm, Yes."
