Louis follows the doctor to the room. The room in which Harry is lying in the hospital bed.
The door made a squeaky sound when Louis walked in, but the boy on the bed didn't flinch. He had his eyes closed and he was lying on his back. Harry's face looked pale and his lips were a purple- bluey colour.
Louis sat down on the bed next to Harry, and gently brushed away some curls in his face. A shaky breath leaves Louis' lips when he sees Harry's eyes flutter open.
"Hey Lou." Harry whispered, his voice breaking slightly.
Louis didn't even try to wipe away the tears that fell from his eyes as he smiled so wide and let out a watery laugh, "H-hi Harry."
A tear fell from Harry's eye, and to his surprise Louis leaned down and kissed it away. Harry felt his cheeks heat up and go pink.
The other cupped the curly haired boy's cheeks, the pad of his thumb slowly caressing his skin.
"Lou? I-I mean Louis?"
"No," He shook his head, "Call me Lou."
Harry bit his lip to contain his grin. "This might be a bit late to tell you now but... I- I really like you."
Louis sniffled a bit, smiling even wider, "Yeah?"
And when Harry nodded, his blush coming back, Louis hugged the boy and wrapped his arms around him as tight as he could.
"Does...does this mean you like me too?" Louis almost laughed- he could hear the hope in Harry's voice.
He looked Harry straight in the eye, "Yeah. I do."
And before Harry could open his mouth one more damn time Louis leaned forward and kissed him. Yes, it was just a peck. They were still young and the kiss was full of innocence as Louis twiddled his fingers in the small curls at the back of Harry's neck.
When Louis softly pulled back he saw Harry still sitting there with his eyes closed. A giggle fell escaped him, and the other sheepishly smiled.
"Are you my boyfriend now, Lou?" Harry asked excitedly, hearts in his eyes and head still in Louis' hands.
And Louis chuckles because yes. He thinks he can live with that.
