I lay in the middle of my bedroom floor with my dog Paco, tears fell from my eyes as I thought about how much my Papa would like this place, it would get some getting used too but eventually, I hoped to call it home. Boxes still lined the walls, untouched. I heard Soney and Valeria in the other room jumping up and down and yelling about who's skirt was who's, they must have started unpacking already.
To give a little background, My parents had three girls and a boy. My almost adult brother Marco and my senior twin sisters Valeria and Soney. Our mother died shortly after my birth and our dad died just last year in a car accident. Marco takes care of us now, we moved from San Fransisco to FreeRidge for a better life, and because FreeRidge is a lot cheaper than San Fran.
A soft knock on the door startled me as I looked up to see Marco "Hey Hermanita," Hey little sister, Marco said her gaze went from me to all of the untouched boxes in the room "how come you aren't unpacking?" he asked me I shrugged "I'm tired," I said Marco sighed "You better get to unpacking, Soney and Valeria are almost done," Marco said briefly before shutting the door behind him

Once I finished piecing together my room I felt a lot better, I felt as if there was hope for the future, hope that things would be good here, really good. With that, I turned off the lamp and went soundly to sleep
RUBY
"It's the last day of school I'm pretty sure that one fifty-seven isn't gonna matter!" Jamal babbled I rolled my eyes "But that does matter, it brings your grade down below average, and when they print reports--" Monse cut me off "Your gonna be in the stupid class sharpening pencils," she said I laughed and agreed with Monse "I hear there's this party later, I say we hit it up Compas," Ceaser suggested "Yes! and maybe we can get a beer while we're there," Jamal said
"I can get you into that party," A sweet voice said We all turned around to see where that voice was coming from, from a beautiful Angelita "I'm sorry I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I heard about that party, My sisters are helping plan it," she said
My mouth hung open as I took in all of her beauty, she had long thick black hair, and tanned Latina skin, she was short, in fact, I think we're close to the same height. I might even be taller, She had beautiful doe brown eyes and the prettiest pearly white teeth, and the most gorgeous plump pink lips, her pretty little figure was a plus, and her voice sounded like a angel singing
"You didn't interrupt anything important, What's your name, Angelita ?" I asked confidently She smiled "You speak spanish!?" she said "Mi Nombre es Nani," Nani. The name of a beautiful goddess "Soy Ceaser, Esto es Monse, Jamal y ..." I cut Ceaser off "Ruben. I'm Ruben," I said "Excuse these dogs they have hardly any manners, I'm Monse...Welcome to FreeRidge," Monse saidI couldn't keep my eyes off the cutie in front of me, she looked down at the paper she had "Question, do any of you know were Mr. Ramirez is?" She asked Ceaser was about to say something when Monse grabbed his arm "We don't, but Ruby does," Monse said pushing me forward a little I nodded "I have him next actually, I can show you," I smiled The girl nodded "Lead the way, Ruben"
