Taako's eyes fluttered open as the hum of the Starblaster's engines slowed down, his ears flickering as his bedsheets rustled over them. His golden eyes were illuminated by the sun rays cutting through the window as he sat up in the bed. His caramel arms cascaded around his body as he removed the blanket that lay around him, and he set his feet on the ground, stretching and yawning. Taako meticulously walked to the window near his bed, minding the creaks and groans of the ship's floors. As he reached the curtains, the light behind them slowly gets brighter. He raises a hand to the velvety shade and pulls it back, revealing a stunning sight.

White sand and crystal water, no clouds. Davenport, Lucretia, and Barry are already outside, and they're running scans and doing tests on the water, but Taako is too excited to worry about that lame stuff. Oh no, he runs out of this room.

His chest is already bare, he slept in his IPRE robe and a pair of old shorts, so he doesnt stop to change. Turning a hallway, he's barely out of his room when he bumps into a large person, and he staggers back, his run halted. He looks up to apologize, but realizes its one of his best friends; Maggie. Taako giggles, and so does Magnus. His arms are full, one hand has a towel, a beach volleyball, and floaties, whilst the other hand is wrapped around pool noodles, a beach umbrella, and a blanket.

Taako smiles, adjusting a piece of soft blonde hair behind his ear,
"You going to the beach too, Mags?"

Magnus looks over to Taako, beckoning him to walk beside him. Taako obliges, following Magnus.

"Yeah! I woke up early just to see what kind of world Davvie took us to this time, and I'm soooo glad we landed here!"

Taako looks up to Maggie's bright face, his cheeks round as his smile spreads ear to ear, the gap in his teeth ever so prevalent. Taako hadn't ever noticed before, but the darkest freckles on his face formed stars--

Taako stopped his mind from wandering, and listened back in on what the hunk beside him was saying.

"and I've never really swum in the ocean before, and I'm kinda scared, y'know? So I had your big sister make me some floaties in case I got taken away by the waves or something."

Taako giggled, "You don't need floaties, you're a big boi. i believe in you, little buddy."

They neared the door, which meant they were going to be on the beach soon, and Magnus looked over to Taako.

"You really think I can!?"

The tall and husky man's eyes were practically stars, and his voice was pure glitter.

As the elven man beside him snorted, the human fighter shook his face and laughed into his palm.

"I'm so sorry, that was a little too much inner Magnus showing."

He was blushing now, and in place of his smile there was an embarassed, pursed look upon his face.

Taako turned to Magnus as they opened the doors of the Starblaster, a warm ocean breeze hitting their faces.

"Hey, fool," he said, resting his slender hand against magnus' rough palm, "You're amazing, don't let anyone tell you different. Be who you are, and don't hide any of that shit."

Magnus felt a burning sensation across his face after the elf's peptalk, even more so when Taako grabbed his hand and drug him towards the coastline.

"c'mon Mags, put on your floaties, we're goin' for a dip!"

After setting their items down, Magnus punched his arms through the teal floaties, already inflated, and ran after taako into the water, his grey swim shorts flapping in the breeze and surf. He was splashed by the other man instantly, and he and Taako giggled. They went back and forth, sloshing water on eachother as they had amazing fun.
