20. Misunderstanding

"Jeon Jungkook, I'll make you pay for what you've done. Just you watch."

Chanyeol got there in no time and texted you to open the front door.

You quietly went downstairs to open the door, not wanting to wake anyone up.

As you approached the front door, you heard Chanyeol whispering to someone.

"Hey, remember to whisper. Okay? Everyone is sleeping and if you speak loudly, you could wake up Mom's brothers. We wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?" Chanyeol explained to someone.

You unlocked and opened the door to see Chanyeol smiling along with a shiny-eyed Dongwoo.

He hugged your legs, resting his head on your waist.

You put a finger up to your lips, signalling Dongwoo to not speak.

You hugged Chanyeol and kissed his cheek.

He smiled to himself as you led them both to your room.

You closed the door of your room.

"You guys can talk now but let's still keep it a bit quiet, okay?" You explained.

They both shook their heads in response.

You sat down on the bed with them, Dongwoo climbing into your lap.

"Sorry bout that, Dongwoo almost set the house on fire when I told him he couldn't come. So, I just brought him with me." Chanyeol explained, scratching the back of his neck.

You mouthed an 'oh'.

"Mom, can I listen to music on your phone?" Dongwoo asked and he looked up to you from his lap.

"Sure, baby. Also, why don't you lay down in the blanket instead of my lap, it's warmer there." You said as you handed Dongwoo your phone and headphones.

He nodded and got off your lap, wrapping himself like a burrito in the blanket.

"So, what's the important thing?" Chanyeol asked as he saw that Dongwoo was now listening to music and couldn't hear what you guys were saying.

"Well, Jimin told me how I lost my memory. He told me how Jungkook cheated on me and how Junghyun tried to kill me just because Yoongi slapped Lisa. I just want to be around someone who can comfort me right now." You explained as tears formed in your eyes.

"You know that's only half the truth." Chanyeol said making you completly confused.

"What?" You asked, looking him in the eyes.

"Even Junghyun isn't that stupid. Why would he try to kill someone over a slap? What really happened was that after the whole slap incident, Jungkook left Lisa because no matter what Y/n, Jungkook does love you." Chanyeol explained.

"You were just so busy those days that Jungkook felt that you were growing apart from him. He was going through one of those phases in life when you're just really naïve and since you were so busy, you didn't meet up with him most of the time and didn't give him any time." You quietly kept listening.

"Lisa always had a thing Jungkook and she took the chance when she saw it. She brainwashed him into thinking that you were probably cheating on him and could break up with him at any time. She tricked him into thinking that she truly loved him and you didn't." Your brain was slowly processing all the information Chanyeol was feeding it.

"So, when Jungkook ended things with Lisa after the whole slap incident, Lisa told Junghyun and he went to the 'If he broke my sister's heart then I'm gonna do something that will destroy his' mode. So, he tried to kill you." He explained.
