Chapter 12

Exams are over! I think overall I did pretty good! The results come out next Friday. It's Wednesday and I haven't seen Harper since last Friday. I met up with a girl I'm seeing, her name is Layla. Just a girl who's into me. We've hit it off, she's pretty hot and she's decent in bed so I've stuck with her for a bit. Especially while I keep having Harper pop up in my head, Layla is a good distraction. Layla kissed me goodbye as she left Uni. I saw Harper walk past me. I think she saw me kiss Layla. I approached her.
"Miss Grayson" I spoke
"Kaede, how'd you go in exams?" She asked
"I don't really know to be honest but we'll find out in a week" I replied
"Got a new play thing I see" She stated, speaking about Layla.
"You can call that if you so please" I stated
"Shouldn't play people like that Kaede. That poor girl is going to think you actually like her and then end up heart broken..." She spoke, her tone changed. What the hell?
"She knows my deal. We are just having fun. We are clear on that" I stated
"Hmmm, either way. It's not healthy" She stated as she went to walk off.
"Wait! Where is this coming from?" I asked
"You've never said this before?" I added
"Well we're 'friends' aren't we. I can express my opinion to you now" She stated
"You just seem salty. A bit too much salt in your cornflakes this morning" I joked, she rolled her eyes and walked off. What the hell is her deal? I'm glad I have no more Uni. I don't have to put up with her constant mood swings. I just need to focus on graduation. Which is in one month, if I pass my exams ofcourse.

It's a boring Saturday night and I was scrolling on Facebook. I saw that Harper had clicked 'going' to an event. It was some kind of 80's music night at a pub down south. I looked into the details and it was tonight at 7.30pm. I smiled to myself as I thought this would be a perfect time to catch her off guard. I wonder if she's going with anyone in particular? I immediately had a shower and got dressed. I decided to wear a white Ralph Lauren button up with black jeans and black Vans. Neat casual is the look I'm going for tonight. I sprayed myself with my most expensive cologne.
"Hey, would you be able to drop me off to a pub down south?" I asked Kate
"Sure? Who's down there?" She asked
"Harper" I replied
"Ooooh" She winked
"Nothing like that... Just a couple drinks is all" I stated. She grabbed her keys and we headed out.

It was 8.30pm. There was a line up to get in. I lit a cigarette while I was waiting. I haven't located Harper yet, she could already be inside. A girl who was lining up behind me kept smiling at me, I don't even know who she is or if she just finds me attractive?
I finally got inside and went straight to the bar and ordered a Canadian Club Dry. I sipped my drink and scoped the room for Harper. It was quite big in here, the music was loud and a couple people actually dressed up in 80's themed clothing. As I was sipping my drink I had spotted Harper. She was with a small group of people laughing while drinking. She looks so relaxed. She was wearing black jeans, a grey turtle neck with red heels. I swear she is the only woman who can pull off a turtle neck because she looks hot as fuck. I probably looked like a creep watching her but I didn't want to bother her straight away. She was on the dance floor with a boy and a girl. I'm pretty sure it's the same guy who she was with last time at the pub but I'm not sure who the girl is? I may or may not have popped a cap before I came so I'm feeling pretty pumped now and confident. I was half way through my second drink when I moved onto the dance floor. I decided to go for her friend first to see how she reacts. Her friend looks straight but I'll still go for it. Either way, Harper will notice me. I made my way between Harper and the girl and danced beside her, straight away she danced with me. I haven't made eye contact with Harper yet but she definitely knows it's me. I have a suspicion that maybe her friend is gay or she is just drunk and wants to dance. I grabbed the girls waist, she seemed nervous but still happy. I turned to look at Harper but she's gone? I started to scan the room, I couldn't see her... Her guy friend is still dancing so she's gone off some where by herself.
"I'll be back" I shouted over the music to the girl I was dancing with. I then started to push through he crowd in search for Harper. Where the actual fuck did she go? Did she leave? I continued to scan the room. I turn to see her walking out of the ladies toilets. I decided to hide behind a group of people and watch where she was heading. She was looking at the dance floor. I think she's looking for me, she kind of looks flustered. She walked to the bar, ordering a drink but still kept looking back at the dance floor, even going on her tippy toes to look around the room. I stood behind her, sipping on my drink. Harper turned back around and jumped when she saw me. I raised my eyebrows.
"Hey Miss" I stated, she pursed her lips and paid for her drink. I can tell she was happy to see me but she was putting on an act.
"Surprised?" I added
"Barely... Should've known you would stalk me" She stated
"How could I possibly of known you were going to be here? I just came here because I heard this place is good... Then I saw that cutie on the dance floor... Didn't even know you were here" I smirked
"Sure you didn't" She replied
"True story" I stated as I finished my drink
"So, who are you here with tonight?" I asked
"Friends, what about you?" She replied
"Me, myself and I" I stated. Harper's girl mate who I was dancing with on the dance floor then approached us.
"Oh hey. I didn't get to introduce myself. I'm Kaede" I stated
"Hi! I'm Tina" She replied
"Do you guys know each other?" She asked
"Actua-" I started to explain before Harper cut me off.
"No... We just met"
I smirked at Harper. That's how you want to play it huh...
"So Tina, what are you drinking? I'm buying" I stated
"Oh that's nice! Um I'll grab a raspberry vodka please!" She replied as I ordered some more drinks and looked at Harper.
I gave Tina her drink and started drinking mine.
"Want to keep dancing?" I asked Tina
"Sure!" She replied
"Actually, I thought maybe we could leave soon" Harper stated
"Aw Harps! One more song!" Tina stated
"Yeah Harps.. One more song" I smiled, she frowned at me, trying not to smile.
Tina and I were dancing together and I wanted to heat things up a bit to make Harper jealous. I finished my drink, placed it on a table near by and danced behind Tina. Held her waist while she grinded on me. I smiled at Harper who looked furious yet entertained. Harper then came up beside me and started dancing. A little bit too seductively for my liking. She was trying to get my attention and steal me away from Tina. It was low key working. What's she trying to do right now? I know she wouldn't dance like this for the hell of it, she's a huge tease. I also am too weak to resist. I moved towards Harper's way and grabbed her waist. She grabbed my hands, squeezed them before pushing them off of her. Boys Wanna Be Her by Peaches was playing in the background. She turned around and was twerking her ass on me. I could see her lacy black underwear sticking out from her jeans. I would give anything to see her in her undies right now. She turned back around and she was close to me, extremely close. She wrapped her arms my neck. I grabbed her around her back and slowly slid my hands down to her ass. As she was continuing to dance on me, I was becoming more and more turned on. She bit her lip and I instantly tightened my grip on her ass. I wanted her so bad. Just want to feel her lips on mine again. I want to see her body, feel her, taste her. Just as things were becoming extremely heated between us, she pulled away.
She grabbed Tina by the head and said something into her ear. Tina nodded and waved to me. They were leaving?! They started walking through the crowd. I followed them. Once we were all outside I grabbed Harper's hand.
"Wait! Where you going?" I asked
"It's okay guys, I'll catch up to you" Harper said to her friends as they continued to walk and she stayed with me.
"I'm going home..." She stated
"Am I invited?" I smirked
"Nice try... But no" She smiled and turned to walk away. Before she got far, I grabbed her and kissed her. I pulled away slightly but our foreheads were still touching. I looked into her frosty blue eyes, she looked shocked yet calm.
"Have a good night" I spoke. As hard as it was trying to hold myself back, I left it at that. I wanted her to want more. I lit up a cigarette as I walked off past her.

I just got home. It was 12am. An early night for me. I just had a bong and I was feeling good. Suddenly and unexpectedly, Harper was calling me. Is she butt-dialing me? She never calls.
"Hello" I answered
"Hi" She spoke
"Miss Grayson, you all good?" I replied, smiling to myself.
"I'm good. I'm good. I'm uhh in a bit tipsy but I'm good" She replied, she seemed flustered and nervous.
"What do I owe the pleasure?" I stated, whilst lighting up a cigarette.
"Come over. Tomorrow night." She replied
"What time?" She immediately caught my attention.
"Anytime after seven" She stated
"Should I bring anything?" I asked
There was a pause before she replied;
"Just yourself, maybe some beer" She replied
"Okay" I spoke
"See you then" She said before hanging up.
Well, now I'm the one who's shocked... She wants me to come over with beer. Does she want me? Is something going to happen? So many things were crossing my mind.
