Great, he saw them.

"Please don't tell anyone, Louis. PLEASE!" I said.

"I won't tell as long as you tell me what happened." He said. I  took a deep breath.

"I was 10. My mum had remarried. I loved the guy at first but then I got to know him. He became abusive. But he only hit me. Never my mum. I never told anyone because he convinced me that I did something wrong. So I always tried to apologize. But he never took it. He always hit me. Then one day, I was 15 and I came home late one day from Kai's house.It was about 10 at night. I flipped on the light in the living room and he sat there. beer in hand. He asked where I was and I told him I was at Kai's house. He knew that he was my friend. Then he started screaming at me about how I had sex with him.How I was a slut. How I was useless to the world. He was drunk. I could tell. I did the usual apology. But he went to far then. He came at me. I dodged him easily.

" I was running  around the house, but each turn he was there. I started to panic. I ended up at the front door.He had caught me then. I was back against the door. He pulled out a gun from his jacket. I started to beg. I said I would never have sex with Kai again, knowing that he wouldn't care. I knew that Kai didn't like me like that so I knew I was lying. He yelled at me again then fired.

Two shots. In both of my legs. Both in my thigh's. At first I didn't feel anything. Just shock.Then I was on the floor. I heard him Laugh.I touched my leg and pain shot through me. I knew I was going to die. I wanted to die. just to get away from him.I knew my mum would be heart broken. She would want to die.I started to black out.

The last thing I heard was my mum screaming.Next thing I knew I was in the hospital.Mum was sitting next to me,crying.I asked what happened and she told me that I was shot twice. one in both legs.She swore to me that she would never marry again.Now I will always have those scars from the bullets." I said. I felt tears running down my cheeks.

Louis just looked at me and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so sorry." he said.

I placed my head in the crook of his neck and felt the tears rolling onto his striped shirt.

"I still don't know whether he's  in jail or not. Mum never told me and i doubt she knows. If he is out, I don't want him to hurt me or my mum. Mum called the cops and she told me that he was yelling at her that when he got out he would kill her. Then kill me." I said.

"We won't let anything happen to you, Shane. I promise. I won't let you get hurt." Louis said.

"Thank you." I whispered.

He kissed the top of my head.

"Your welcome." he whispered.  He got up and walked  out of my room, I curled up into a ball on my bed  and fell into a dreamless sleep.
