Cyrus' POV
I can't believe I like Tj. Who would like a guy like me? I'm just worthless. I said cutting and tears rolling down my cheek. I lost two of my best friends. 'Cut' I'm a looser. 'Cut' I'm weak. 'Cut' All of a sudden my phone buzzed. It was a text from Tj. 'Why is he texting me?' I thought as I checked my phone.

TJ
"Hey underdog"

Me
"Hey"

Tj
"Do you maybe want to do something with me after school tomorrow?"

'Why would Tj want to do something with a worthless guy like me?' I thought as I read his text.

Me
"Sure"

Tj
"Awesome! See you tomorrow then, bye"

Me
"Yeah bye"

I can't believe Tj wants to hang out with some as worthless as me. I said as I turned off my phone and went to sleep.

~Next day~
I woke up the next day not wanting to go to school because I don't want to run into Andi or Jonah.

"Hey Cyrus!" Buffy yelled as she walked up to me.

"Hey" I replied tiredly.

"Cyrus what's that on your arm?" She asked conceded.

'Shoot' I thought looking down at my arm and realized I never covered up my arms from the cuts.

"I-it's nothing, I just cut myself when I was cooking yesterday" I said trying not to make Buffy worried.

"You cook?" Buffy said chuckling.

"My mom asked me too because she was too tired too after work. I'm make pretty good spaghetti" I said jokingly.

"Hey Underdog" I heard Tj say as he walked towards us and covered up my arm.

'Did Tj notice?' I thought as I saw him look at my arm.

"Tj what are you doing here?" Buffy asked sounding mad.

"I came here to talk with Cyrus" Tj replied.

"Maybe he doesn't want to talk to you" Buffy said now mad.

"Cyrus doesn't have to listen to you" Tj said annoyed.

"Guys stop. Buffy It's fine let him talk" I interrupted standing up for him.

"But it's Tj. You do remember what he has done right?" Buffy said.

"Yeah I do but you have to give him a chance" I replied.

"Whatever I got to go to class" Buffy said angry and left.

"Sorry about Buffy" I said apologizing to Tj.

"Don't worry about it" Tj smiled putting his hand on my shoulder and we started walking to class.

I couldn't help but think about Tj. There is just something about him that I liked about him. He will never like back. He's not gay and the whole school hates me.

~After school~

"Hey underdog" Tj said walking up to me.

"Hey not so scary basketball guy" I replied waving as he walked over"

"Ready to hang out?" Tj asked.

"Sure, where are we going?" I asked.

"I was thinking the spoon" Tj replied

"Ok cool" I said.

When we got there we both ordered milkshakes and baby taters.

"Hey Cyrus it's been bugging me all day, can I ask you a question?" Tj asked.

"Sure" I replied with a mouth full of taters.

"Why are there cuts on your arm?" Tj asked sounding concerned.

'Oh no, what do I tell him?' I thought getting nervous.
