Soul Collector

Chapter 1

It had been a couple of weeks since Miku and Kaida had moved in with the third hokage he's tried his best to be a guardian to them but it just wasn't the same. Kaida missed her parents dearly whoever had killed them were going to pay she just knew it. Other than that Miku and her had begun to explore the palace where they soon found their favorite place: the garden. There were so many beautiful flowers and even a pond with a little bridge that went across it. Here Kaida felt at peace and where she would soon discover her secret jutsu.

"Come on Kaida let's go to the garden!" Her best friend yelled for her. "Alright Miku!" Kaida replied. She put her family picture back on the night stand and changed into some clothes and ran out her door.

"Kaida I'll race you there!" Miku yelled as she took off running. Kaida huffed and ran after her. "No fair Miku you got a headstart!" She got no reply but just some giggles. They raced past people and other ninja who stared at us with shocked faces. Kaida finally made it the garden where she collapsed to the ground breathing heavily. I need to exercise more she thought to herself. She stayed there for a while just watching the clouds till Miku poked her head into her view

. "Kaida what took you so long?" She asked while giggling. Kaida sighed and rolled over onto her stomach, "I don't know where you get all your energy Miku, but I sure don't have that much." Miku ran off to pick some flowers giving Kaida time to sit up and collect herself. She crawled over to a patch of flowers and picked one she examined it then bit her lip in thought she had seen her mom perform a jutsu when she was young and she was curious if she could do it as well. She set the flower down and performed the necessary hand signs soon the flower became encased with what looked like glass but it wasn't it was encased in crystal.

Kaida grinned and threw her hands in the air in triumph. She picked up her crystal and ran over to Miku who wasn't too far from her. "Miku' Miku!" The little brunette girl turned towards her friend. "Yeah Kaida?" Kaida stopped in front of her and opened her hand. Miku gasped and lifted the crystal up. "Kaida how did you do this?" She continued to turn it over in her hands. Kaida proudly told her she remembered her mom using the same hand signs and she wanted to try it.

Now we know Miku is 5 but she's very smart for age so don't underestimate her. Miku handed Kaida the crystal back. "Kaida I've never seen anything like this before...you should keep it a secret for now." Kaida's smile fell to a frown but she wanted to tell everyone even the third hokage about this, but she sighed and agreed. She looked over the crystal once more before stuffing it in her pouch that she wore around her waist. Just as she had done so an Anbu landed right in front of the girls causing them to squeak. The Anbu only shook their head and requested them to follow. The girls followed the Anbu to lord third's office.

"Hello girls!"

"Hello Mr. Hokage sir." They both replied. "I see you two had fun in the garden again."

Miku smiles and ran up to him holding out the flowers she picked. "Thank you, Miku these are lovely." Miku rejoined her friend.

"I'm aware both of you have been going to the ninja academy and both of you have exceeded expectations. I think tomorrow the two of you will be ready for your test to become Genin." Both Miku and Kaida couldn't contain their happiness they would soon join a team and have a sensei. "Thank you so much Mr. Hokage sir!" The third hokage chuckled, "alright now run along to bed, you both have a big day tomorrow."

They both nodded and ran out to their rooms. "Good night Miku!"

"Good night Kaida!"

Both girls shut the door to their rooms. Kaida walked across her room to her closet pulling off her day clothes and pulling on her pjs. She heard the thump from her crystal hitting the ground she forgot it was in there. She reached down into her pouch and pulled out the crystal with the flower in it and set it on her nightstand next to her family picture. She crawled in bed and under the covers looking over at the picture one last time.

"I'm going to be a great kunoichi just like you mom."

With that she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
