The Beginning

Chapter 28. Discharge Day.

It has been 5 days since Angie was rushed in to hospital

XXX 10 AM XXX

Olga and Ramallo have been everyday to visit Angie.

German was fast asleep in the chair beside Angie. Violetta was in the opposite chair..and still they never left Angie's side.

Angie woke up and saw how peaceful German and Violetta looked. She smiled.

Angie's strength has been building up day by day.

The Doctor came in and Violetta & German woke up.

"Ah Good Morning all, I though't i'd let you in on some good news" said the Doctor.

Angie lent forward waiting....waiting for the news..

"Angeles, you will be allowed to go home today. I will be discharging you at 4PM"

Now Angie had one of her massive smiles plastered across her face.

"Aw that's great news, thank-you Doctor!"

"Your Welcome Angeles, but you will need to keep your sling on for 3 more weeks"

Angie sighed.

"Okay"

German got up from the chair and shook the Doctor's hand.

"Thank-you for everything Doctor"

"Your Welcome Mr Castillo"

Violetta hugged Angie.

"Oh Angie, i'm so happy! It will be great to go home! A fresh start for us all"

"I agree Vilu!" said a happy Angie.

The Doctor left.

"Dad, i'll go and ring Ramallo & Olga to let them know that Angie is being discharged later on.

German nodded.

Outside the hospital:...

Violetta rang Ramallo.

Violetta: "Hello, Ramallo. I've got great news! Angie will be discharged at 4PM today. So as a welcome home for Angie. Get Olga to make Angie's favorite Lemon drizzle cake and get some balloons and a banner. We will give her a proper welcome home. We will call it a fresh start.

Ramallo: Okay Violetta, that's great news I will tell Olga now.

Violetta: Okay, see you later.

Ramallo: Bye.

The call ended.

Violetta had a smile across her face..again:) before she went back in to Angie's room...Violetta went to the hospital's shop and got Angie some magazines.

She walked through Angie's door and saw her Dad and Angie kissing.

"Okay..okay Germangie! Save all the kisses for later" laughed Violetta.

German put his arms out for Violetta to give him a hug. She did...but he hugged her so tightly.

"Dad..I..I..can't breathe...loosi..ng..oxygen"

German let go off Violetta instantly.

"Vilu, Vilu, i'm sorry my darling"

Angie and Violetta began to laugh.

"You were pretending wern't you Vilu?"

Violetta nodded.

"Yep, sorry Dad"

"Oh Violetta" he began to laugh.

They all laughed together.

XXX 6 HOURS PASSED XXX

Angie signed her discharge papers and thanked the Doctor once again. She was put in a wheelchair.

German wheeled her down the corridors and out the entrance of the hospital.

He helped Angie into the car and took the wheel-chair back in to the hospital.

Violetta and Angie were sat talking in the car when German came back.

"What are you too talking about?" smirked German.

"Nothing..haha..nothing at all Dad" laughed Violetta again.

They drove out of the car park and went home.

It was a 10 minute drive. Then Christina Perri 'A Thousand Years' came on the radio.

The lyrics :

I have died every day waiting for you

"Angie, did you just listen to those lyrics like me?"

"Yes I did why do you ask?"

"Because I have loved you Angie for a thousand years and i'll love you for a thousand more"

Angie smiled and kissed German on the cheek.

He grinned like a Cheshire cat.

They arrived home.

German helped Angie out of the car. Violetta ran in to the house.

A banner that read 'Welcome Home Angie" hung surrounded by balloons.

"Olga, is the cake ready?!"

"Yes it is, my darling"

"Okay, Angie and Dad are coming now"

Violetta went and stood next to Olga & Ramallo.

Just then Angie opened the door..followed by German carrying her bags.

"SURPRISE!!"
