Lights Out

You and Liz was stuck alone together while Jada went and dance with this random dude she just met, so both of you decided to go in the corner and just chill, probably for the rest of the night until Jada was ready to go home.

"So?...." Liz started after 5 minutes of just sitting on the bench and watching everyone have a good time.

"What?" I asked calmly giving your full attention to her since you had nothing better to do.

"Enjoying the party so far?" She asked with a small smile.

"Yeah it's cool, I guess" You said turning your attention on Jada on the floor dancing feeling a bit gloomy. "Well at least she's having fun" Liz then looked at Jada and nod her head in agreement.
"When is this BluZ guy suppose to show up anyway?"

"Um Jada said around 9 or 9:30"

"Then what's the point of getting here early?" You questioned a little annoyed.

"Probably to get in the front row and to also meet all the cute guys first and hit up there numbers" Liz said. You two looked at one another and started to laugh, it sounded like something Jada would say.

After you two calm down from laughing so hard, three guys walked up towards us and started hitting on Liz. She politely respond to them but you didn't really say anything because you were not sure what to do. You tried to get in the conversation by saying hi but they didn't notice you. 'Apparently I am invisible', you said in your head.

"Hey! Want to come and join us on the dance floor mamma?" One of the dudes asked checking her out.

"Um... Sure, can my friend come as well?" She asked. 'Finally invited to do something', you thought.

"Yeah but... we were hoping it was just you, but if she wants to come that's cool, I guess" He answered rubbing the back of his head. 'Great! Just as I thought was going to happen'

"Um..." Liz said looking back at me unsure.

"Go ahead I will be fine" You said through pain.

"You sure" She said as the boys pulled her away.

"Yeah!" You called after her. She smiled and waved at you, you waved back and she disappeared into the crowd that seem to grow larger every minute.

You just stood there on the bench, telling yourself that this was the worst party you ever went to and that you are never going out again in your life. After a few 10 minutes of pondering, Jada came up to you stumbling, from drinking a little too much.

"Hey!" She said coming up sitting next to you with a drink in her hand

"Hey!" You responded.

"How comes your not on the dance floor?" She asked nudging you, "Pulling in those youngsters"

"Because 1. You and Liz left me to go and dance with a bunch of nobodies, 2. No one came and talk to me or even notice me, you believe three boys came up to Liz THREE!!! And all of them wanted her, I was a nobody and 3. Theo is the only loyal person I know and I like him."

Jada just look at you like if you was crazy "Um, You know you had a whole hour and forty minutes to meet someone right?"

You shrugged your shoulders. At this point you didn't care. "I just want to go home now" You said not in the mood.

"But you said you were going to come and have a good time with me and Liz, We are trying to get you out in the world instead of being stuck up in a house all day, nothing to do but just homework" Jada said a little upset.
