Chapter Zero

The Ride

Luis was excited for this summer. He hadn't planned what he was going to do. He saw Madeline and Daniell talking with each other. "How many people should we invite?" Madeline asked. "Perhaps, I can get two or three and you get the same amount?" Daniell replied. "You get three, I get three. Alright?" Madeline decided. "Alright, I think I can do that." Daniell nodded. "Thanks sis." Madeline smiled, causing Daniell to grin before leaving. Waving, Madeline just noticed Luis. "Hey! Wanna come someplace with Daniell and I?" She asked. "Sure, where is it?" Luis asked. Madeline gave him a ticket, "Just meet us at the train station at about 6:30." Madeline waved as she left, looking for two other people to give tickets to.

Meanwhile, Daniell had found three of her friends. Emma, Holly, and Sarah were talking with each other at Sarah's locker. "Hey mates," Daniell greeted, "Are you doing anything this summer? I wanna go somewhere with you three." She said. Emma shook her head, Holly following her actions. "Nope, I have nothing." Sarah said and Daniell smiled, taking out three tickets. "Get on a train with these tickets and wait for the last stop. There you will find the place I want you to go." She explained as her friends took the tickets. "Anyone else going?" Holly asked. Daniell shrugged, "Madeline is as well, she'll be inviting three other people. Dunno who." She replied. "Anyways, bye. Gotta get ready." Daniell waved as she left.

Madeline had found Jonathan, gave him a ticket and told him the same thing as Luis. She only needed to find one more person. Seeing Daniell, she ran up to her. "Who'd you invite?" Madeline asked. "Emma, Sarah, and Holly. What about you?" Daniell replied. "Luis and Jonathan, they'll be coming at the same time as us. Who else should I invite?" Madeline said. "Invite Camilo. It'll drive Emma crazy since she wants to kill him. Tell him just to go on a train and wait until the last stop, I did that for the three I invited." Daniell smiled. "You're evil, but sure. I won't tell him who you're inviting though." Madeline shrugged. "Alright, bye!" Daniell waved, leaving. Madeline nodded and ran off to find Camilo.
After a while, she did indeed find him. He was just leaving his other friends. "Camilo! Wanna visit this one place for summer?" Madeline asked him. "Sure, who else is coming." Camilo shrugged. "Luis, Jonathan, Daniell, and three other people. Don't know who." Madeline replied. "Alright, where will we be going?" Camilo asked. Madeline handed him the train ticket, "Get on a train with this ticket and wait for the last stop. Get off there, and you'll be at the place." She explained. Camilo nodded, taking the ticket and leaving.

A few hours later........

Emma had just gotten to the station. Holly was already there, "Just waiting for Sarah." She said once seeing Emma. "What about Daniell?" Emma asked, "She got on already at 6:30. I got here two minutes after." Holly explained. Soon enough, Sarah came. "Made it!" She exclaimed. Holly pushed herself off of the wall and Emma sat from a bench, "Let's go," she said, walking onto the train with the ticket in hand. A bit after, Camilo arrived. He quickly showed his ticket before going on the train.

The ride was silent for Camilo. Emma and Holly were mostly fighting, Sarah had been drawing after giving up trying to stop them. Luis, Jonathan, Madeline, and Daniell had a lively conversation.
"And then I threw it at him, so he yelled at me. When the teacher came, he had thrown a book at me. He got into trouble instead of me." Luis said, recalling a moment at school one time Daniell was absent. "It was hilarious seeing his face! Melvin didn't go anywhere near Luis after that." Madeline added in. "So that's why he was acting weird when I came back!" Daniell exclaimed, "Yeah, but the teacher kept a closer eye on our tables after that." Jonathan added, yet the smile on his face made it clear he thought it was worth it as well. The group shared a laugh until Luis asked, "Where are we going anyways?" With a tilted head. "Yeah, where are we going?" Jonathan agreed. "A place Daniell and I have been before, its a......paranoid town. We wanted you guys to come so we could play a game there!" Madeline said. "Why play a game in a paranoid town?" Jonathan asked, "The town made the game, was like that when we went there last time. The last players we brought with us quit." Daniell explained. Jonathan nodded, yet still suspicious. Luis grinned, "What kind of game is it?" He asked, excited. "You'll find out when we get there." Daniell shrugged. Luis nodded, still excited. They went back to their topic changing conversation.

A while passed, and Emma, Sarah, Holly, and Camilo got off at the last stop. They saw a town with fifteen houses. People poked their heads out of them and started whispering. "You guys made it!" Madeline exclaimed, leading Daniell, Luis, and Jonathan away from the sixth house. "You two brought them as well?" A male from the eight house asked. "Yeah, David. We did, they're going to play our game with us." Daniell said. The male, David, stepped out of his house. He looked as if he'd be a mayor. Perhaps he was. "Alright, give them houses and we'll start tomorrow." David instructed before going back in his house. Madeline and Daniell nodded. "Why do we need a house?" Camilo asked. "We'll be playing for a while, so you'll stay in the number house we give you so you won't be sleeping in the dirt." Daniell explained, and the newcomers nodded.
